This post might not be for anyone else but me. This is what i need to hear right now. So here it goes...
Matthew 26:39 states "And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt"
This passage is where Jesus was praying to his heavenly father before he was crucified. He asked God to let this cup pass from me. In other words, He wanted God to make it to where he wouldnt have to endure such suffering. But he also prayed not my will but thy will.
Many times during difficult times, i would ask God to take whatever im facing away. I neglected to pray not my will but thy will be done. Thats where we go wrong at. It may not be Gods will. He may be preparing you for something better. We just have to have trust in God that he will bring us through, just like Jesus prayed. Jesus did not have to die. But if he didnt, where would we be?
