Care to take a walk in me head? Puts the don't trespass signs away, lol, enter, though, at your own risk, lol.
Welcome to my world, hahaha, sorry for the mess, God, I believe, wants me to organize my thoughts so let's do this together, lol. Put your seatbelts on, lol, this could get bumpy, lol.
I woke up kinda weak and not so peaceful. I decided, Praise be to my Lord, to take my unsettled self to the word, as I know, as I have experienced, that He satiates my weariness. He, without a doubt, is my sufficiency, everytime.
I am working through Romans, chapter 2.
My takeaway from this chapter of Romans encompasses humility and authenticity.
We as believers, especially seasoned ones, are warned of taking on a prideful nature. This can cause a faith that lacks depth, a superficial need to appear righteous in ourselves, than to be righteous in Him. Our character in Jesus, should bring us to our knees. Our ability to submit and obey His will isn't a knowing in our thoughts alone of His precepts, but in having Jesus and His Grace in our hearts, where He can guide us to where we need to be, in Him.
No true transformation can occur in our own quest to be transformed, it requires a regeneration that comes from His Grace alone. I do believe, however, that the desire for change is a direct result of His calling, that He reveals His nature to us. I am so grateful. As I am reflecting on His grace, I am feeling a shift, a renewing of my thoughts....Ahhhhh a deep breath of His is felt.
So as we get about interacting with others and ourselves, let's not look through the eyes of thou shalts or thou shalt nots. Let's instead be a light that plants a seed of His righteousness and allow the Holy Spirit to do the convincing and convicting. Let us stay in our own lane, getting out of Christ's way. Let us examine our own heartfelt motives; let us ensure our own authentic relationship to our Lord, working out our own salvation with fear and trembling, while trusting His getting us there. Let us walk ourselves in Justice, loving others with mercy, rather than making sure others walk in Justice, for that is their journey, not ours.
Pride opposes humility, and gets in the way of hearing and learning from our Lord, of this I am convinced. In short, our walk with Christ is an inside job that should be reflected on the outside. Not the other way around, otherwise it lacks sincerity. I will not settle for my weakened limitations and ideas of what God wants, I need Him to set me straight, and to widen my Horizons in Him, each and every day.
His Grace in our hearts = true transformation and regeneration, not in our own determination and will.
For all who have sinned without the Law will also perish without the Law, and all who have sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law; for it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified.
Romans 2:12-13 NASB
For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves,
Romans 2:14 NASB
in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them, on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus.
Romans 2:15-16 NASB
Thank you for taking the time to read me, and I pray you and yours are fully blessed in and with Him.
Love you all...♡♡♡
