Is it wrong to drink alcohol?

Plus u are not allowed to drink all sorts of alcohol at 16. Ur making it worse than it is. Harf alcohol is 18.

Hi P4T,

How would you define a drunkard?
Paul talks about drunkards not inheriting the Kingdom of God.

So what is a drunkard?
If a believer struggles with alcohol yet does not get drunk are they a drunkard?
If they drink too much but do not get intoxicated are they the people Paul refers to?

This has often puzzled me

I believe that it reffers to a person who is always drunk or regularly jmo

A bottle was often included in the medical kits of doctors in the good old days. Many today still drink to deal with pain. Problem arises that after the pain has been relieved they become addicted to the cure. Same problem with many heroine based pain killers.

Good point opium based pain killers can result in addiction.
I think the intention for most is not to be addicted, but it can happen.

Whereas often people set out to get drunk.

Those who drink for fun can wind up in a similar situation. You need not be real drunk to have an issue when you decide to drive home.
