He rebuked them for not having the proper manner of Spirit . God who is not a man us rejected that kind of familiarity. Spewing them from his mouth those who had become comfortly numb because of the flesh they were born with. No abiding comfort from the Holy Spirit our teacher comforter and guide who also brings to our minds the thing he has taught us. He eternal God not seen must increase, as we the temporal that are seen must decrease.
John 5:38-40 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
