How does "GRACE" work in a Believers life?

Question #2 - How can a Believer frustrate "GRACE?"

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness comes by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Galatians 2:20-21

Grace brings salvation and teaches us to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world as we look for the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ:

Titus 2:

11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.


To continue in ungodliness, worldly lusts, and iniquity, would be setting aside, disregarding, rejecting the grace of God which, according to Titus 2:11, has appeared (Gr. epiphaínō) unto all.

By not seeking the face of God. The whole purpose of receiving a new heart is to now cry out to God for that connection that brings out the full measure of grace. From faith to Faith...from glory to Glory.

Grace is the unmerited favor of God, in which God shows us mercy, kindness, and patience instead of the judgment that we deserve for sinning against Him. God's grace cannot be earned by our actions or sincerity. Grace is based on the character of God and not on our sincerity, performance, or ability to keep the law. Otherwise, grace would not be grace.

Rom. 11:6, "But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace."

Gal. 2:21, "I do not frustrate the grace of God; for if righteousness comes by the Law, then Christ is dead in vain.”

2 Timothy 1:9, "who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity."

God's grace operates sovereignly in the lives of believers through His enabling power.

1 Corinthians 15:10 - But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of
them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me.

2 Corinthians 1:12 - For our proud confidence is this: the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and godly sincerity, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you.

2 Corinthians 12:9 - And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

Please refrain from passing on your errors to others. Grace is the power from God to walk as He walked. It is a free gift but it is meant to overcome sin with.Grace fulfills the law. If we walk by the Spirit we shall not sin.

Rom 3:31 Do we, then, nullify the Law through faith? Never may it be! Instead, we uphold Law.

Jesus did not come to abolish the law but rather gives us the grace to fulfill it. THAT is the purpose of grace...and that we would go to Him for it in full measure.

A believer can frustrate grace by continually sinning. Some believers they can sin and think that they can just ask for forgiveness and it will be forgiven because God is a loving God, but they kid themselves. When you live under grace that means you have been given a pardon, even though you are still living in this sinful flesh. You have to stop living by your soul, and live by the spirit. Adam and Eve began living by the spirit. That's why they didn't realize they were naked. But when they sinned, the human spirit went dormant and the soul took over. The soul is what governs the flesh. That's why they realized then that they were naked. That's why Jesus says you must be born again. The spirit must be awakened, and the soul must humble itself and let the spirit lead. We communicate with God through the spirit. Romans 8: 7 the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God; neither indeed can be. That's how you frustrate the Holy Spirit is to keep sinning knowingly.

Luke 9:23 - And He said to them all, If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

Denial of self is recognizing my moral and spiritual poverty; for I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwells no good thing (Romans 7:18). It is knowing and understanding that I am unable to serve God in my own will power, self-will, strength, ability, and power. We see this in the first three "Beatitudes." Romans 8:13, Zechariah 4:6 - Without Jesus you can do nothing (John 15:5)!!!!!

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3

Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Matthew 5:5

Take up his cross is seen in Matthew 5:6; Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

I am filled by God's provisions (GRACE) found in Christ by placing my Faith exclusively in Christ and Him Crucified (Believing who Jesus is, and what Jesus has done). Therefore I receive all the benefits of this "Resurrection Life" by understanding that we have been planted together [Christ and ourselves] in the likeness of His Death [Romans 6:5, Psalm 103:2].

Without the knowledge of the Cross for sanctification, you will die (spiritually).

Two kinds of peace
1. Justifying Peace - This is Peace with God, a legal standing. Rom. 8:7; Eph. 2:14-15
2. Sanctifying Peace - This is the Peace of God in the heart. Rom. 8:6; 14:19; 15:13; Gal. 1:3

The first is the result of a legal standing. The second is the result of the Work of the Holy Spirit. The first is static, never fluctuates, the second changes almost from hour to hour. The first, every Christian has, the second, every Christian may have.

Sanctifying peace allows the Holy Spirit to deliver the Believer into the death of Christ so Christ life is manifested through the Believer (2 Cor. 4:11, Gal. 2:20-21, Romans 8:2,13, John 14:21). I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me (Who Jesus Is), and gave himself for me (What Jesus Has Done). Gal. 2:20

Faith that is not placed and maintained exclusively in Christ and the Cross, i.e., The Finished Work, i.e., The Blood of Jesus (Romans 8:2), cancels out the "GRACE" of God in your life that the Cross of Christ achieved for you (1 Cor. 1:17; Gal. 2:21). Christ is become of no effect unto you (Gal. 5:4).

The Cross of Christ is as necessary for sanctification as it is for salvation (1 Cor. 1:18). For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God (Romans 8:14 NIV).

The Apostle Paul said, "I am determine to know no any thing among you, except Jesus Christ, and Him Crucified (1 Cor. 2:2)." Why would Paul say that? Because that is the only solution. Many Believers have been given a sugar pill.

The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus and the Law of Sin and Death (Rom. 8:2) are the two most powerful Laws in the Universe; the "Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus" alone is stronger than the "Law of Sin and Death"; this means that if the Believer attempts to live for God by any manner other than Faith in Christ and the Cross, i.e, "The Finished Work", i.e., "The Blood of Jesus," they are doomed to failure.

If a Christians faith is not maintain exclusively in Christ and His Finished Work, i.e., The Cross, i.e., The BLOOD of Jesus, the works of the flesh will manifest.

Paul tells us this in the 5th Chapter of Galatians. The entire Book of Galatians, but especially the 5th Chapter, is a warning from Paul to the Church at Galatia, which is also meant for us. The warning is that if they place their faith in anything except “Christ and Him Crucified,” that “Christ shall profit you nothing” (Gal. 5:2).

The Apostle goes on to say that if the Believer doesn’t adhere to the Way of the Spirit, which is the Way of the Cross, then works of the flesh will manifest themselves. He said:

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God” (Gal. 5:19-21).

Now let me say it again, because it is so very important:
If the Believer doesn’t understand the Cross of Christ, as it regards Sanctification, then, in some way, one or more of these “works of the flesh” are going to manifest themselves in his life. As stated, such is inevitable! The first four, “Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, and lasciviousness,” are obvious and easily understood. But the modern Christian quickly dismisses “idolatry, witchcraft, and heresies,” thinking they do not really apply today.

By believing their salvation is based on, or maintained by, their own performance at being obedient to the will of God..

In fact they do not frustrate grace.. They reject salvation by grace..

To the partisan purveyors of lawlessness and truth-avoidance, please explain this verse in the context of your position...

Rom. 3:31 Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.

Please refrain from misinterpreting a word (grace) to support your own self rightiousness, God is not very happy with that,

If we could be sinless, we would have come to a point we no longer need grace, we would be in a performance based system of earning gods love.

We uphold the law by allowing the law to do what it was intended to do, lead us to christ, and bring us to faith, which in faith we also, by seeking after the things of the spirit, upholds the law. (Not perfectly however like God demands, which is why we still are required to be under grace or we would perish!)

Why do you want to follow the schoolmaster, which was given to lead you to the lord, and not the lord himself?
