Today I have risen with a question in mind.

How many believe our Father rested on the first day before creating anything,?

What rest is there then after the seventh day? He rested m, in the eyes of many meh on the first day.....

My cusriosisty deal only with the week of our Father's creating, not with any commandment, though when He worked six days He did rest on the seventh day making this the Sabbath of the Lord.

The most wonderful aspect of this meditation is always being aware that my Father andyours gave us sthis day in this order to rest with Him from our menial labors, nothing to compare with His great work.

If you think the Sabbath is simply a commandment, I pity you. Assemble to glorify God any time, but do not change the Day that is the gift of our Father to each of us in your minds, it leads to more apostasy.

Now, whatever day you have chosen to assemble in praise of our Father, have a wonderful Sabbath. Oh, and if you do it because it is a commandment and not for another reason, you are blessed always.

(Yes, all who believe Jesus Christ worship Him 24/7 because He is always Presen within.)

Nope.

The rest used in Genesis is a 'scientific rest' which means completion of work (scientific work) in this case or not working.
Mass is energy at 'rest'- scientific rest means not working.

Gee mhy best friend with whom I converse frquently onastrophysics is a phd in astrophysics, right, an astrophysicist. However I could never keep up with your knowledge of energy, fast or very slow energy, so I cannot approach your commentary as an equal.

In the meantime, God rested from all of His work in crating all that is, not that H could atually tire Himself, and because of this, and for a lesson for those who can see, He made it a gift to rest from our mundane endeavor six days to be with Him and rest......It is also a prophesy, but this too must be understood..not explained.

Do you keep the seventh day as a Sabbath in accordance of all required? I mean ever detail as outlined in the Law?

IMO, the Genesis account, God completed His creation work on the sabbath- that's what is meant He rested on the sabbath.
The sabbath that we are given is a spiritual one and not a physical one; it is about love and not recuperating.

Exodus 23:12
For six days you are to do your work, but on the seventh day you must cease, so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and the son of your maidservant may be refreshed, as well as the foreign resident.

It is about others and not ourselves- this is love. All commandments are anchored on Love.

Why do you try to make out that others feel they are "under the law" and not under grace and mercy?

You know, providing you have been reading the posts you have replied to of mine that I am not saved by obeying the law. Whyi are you advocating for Satan?

Are you next going to say when I tell all that we are to obey Jesus that this is teaching law?

No man is saved by the law, but disobedience as a way of life is as witchcraft to Jesus.

What do you want, licence to sin? Hear the teaching of Jesus Christ and stop straining at the gnats.

If your interrogation is sincere this time, the response is simple, I observe the Seventh Day as the Sabbath of the Lord because it is made by God, and I observe with a clear conscience in His sight in the spirit.. I may go to any assembly that loves Jesus Christ as Savior any day of the week, but this does not change the order of Creation nor does it change the Sabbath of the Lord.

No, he keeps it in spirit and truth. The same way he worships the Lord. He has asked himself why did God establish the Sabbath. Well he then asked God and was shared some truths. Try it, you might find it enlightening.

The Bible does not say anything about God resting before He began creating. One could assume that, but God does not literally need to rest, since He never tires.

does your curiosity extend to what He did before the first day - on the "0th day" and what does He do on the 8th?

"scientific work" is this:

CodeCogsEqn.gif

force applied across a distance. if '
scientific rest' is not working, it's the change in location being zero ((either stationary or returning to the starting point)) or the absence of applied force. it's significant that this doesn't necessarily mean lack of motion.

but physically what is usually referred to by '
an object at rest' is remaining immobile to the extent of the scope of what's being talked about. thermodynamically, no molecule is ever 'at rest' unless it is at absolute zero temperature. heat is movement, as far as mass is concerned. in this context, 'equilibrium' - no change in temperature ((which is still an average, not a true steady-state, in the observed physical world)) - may be a better analogy to rest.

You also forgot to mention relative motion and the fact that the earth is never stationary, nor is the galaxy. Maybe the Scientific Definition of work does not apply here?

there's no displacement that's not relative to something else, if it's measured :)

i figured the intrinsic motion of all mass that's not at absolute zero temperature kinda covered that conglomerate masses like planets and cosmic superstructures necessarily also continue in flux

Since I can agree that it is about others based upon the scriptures below, which is not to say it doesn't apply to us, but I am sure that it is about physical rest, both body and mind.

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Matt 25:40

The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master. Luke 6:40

It was somewhat of a rhetoric to further drive your point home.

You fellas keep stressing the scientific principles instead of trying to grasp the spiritual principles of God's word. We can't keep the law in a physical sense, but do we try on the spiritual plane. Using science to apply scriptural messages will fail you.

Our Maker is our Father. He is the Son and the Holy Spirit. He is all.

Now if you would like to speak in terms of useless knowledge of what is called science......all that we see is one form of energy or another, even matter is nothing more than slow energy.
If that is "power" and God is all powerful, come the great implosion of the big bang all enrgy will return to its Source.........meditate on that.

Now, I believe God and not the futile collection of knowledge accumulated by mortals.

Let us always praise God, He is worthy, not we.

God doesn't have muscles or flesh so He was not recuperating from tiredness, rest here would mean that He completed His work (creation) and this kind of rest would be in tandem with scientific one.
Jesus also said that His father works even on a sabath- what kind of work? was it not salvation work? And Paul tells us to strive and enter God's sabbath which means we need to continue in faith until our salvation is done, that's what means to enter God's sabbath or resting from the works of salvation.

Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
