I do not believe in OSAS .. It is one of the calvinist TULIP dogmas..

I believe people can fall away from the truth.. It is not so much as losing ones salvation but the case of the individual casting away their salvation by deciding to no longer believe Jesus and or believe in the Atonement Jesus secured for our salvation when He was executed on the cross..

We could also call it ISAS, if saved always saved, many were never born again in the first place. The Bible teaches neither Easy Believism nor Lordship Salvation.

False converts, who are part of the faith, but not of true faith will indeed fall away.

Also, John Calvin did not teach unconditional eternal security, here is what he taught:
"the hearts of the godly are so effectually governed by the Spirit of God, that through an inflexible disposition they follow his guidance." (John Calvin)
"the power of the Spirit is so effectual, that it necessarily retains us in continual obedience to righteousness." (John Calvin)

He did not believe salvation was a one time thing. God bless.

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. There is a choice to purge oneself through Christ to become part of the Vessel of honor; Jesus Christ.

Romans 1 has nothing to do with Christians, but with the nation of Israel.

Romans 11:7, 11-13, 20-21, 25 show the passage is referring to a NATIONAL salvation, not INDIVIDUAL. The passage is talking about the nation of Israel chose to reject God, so God turned to the Gentile nations instead. But Paul warns that the Gentile nations will be cast off if they choose to reject BELIEVING in God for salvation. Never said they have to maintain works to keep their salvation. And Paul said one day the Gentiles' times will be fulfilled and God will reject them and return to the nation of Israel again in the future (Tribulation & Millennium). This is so true, because we are now seeing Gentile nations (United Nations, etc.) rejecting to believe in Christ for salvation, so God is going to cut off those nations soon and return to Israel.

There is also the term, "preservation of the saints:"

Psalm 37:28 - For the Lord loves justice, And does not forsake His saints; They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.

Jude 1:1 - Jude, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, To those who are called, sanctified by God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ.

Salvation is not probation.
Eternal life is not temporary life.
Jesus is the door. He is not a revolving door.

The clause "Are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse" is being spoken in the present tense. To this day it applies.

It has always been an issue in regards to disobedience. And it has always been an issue of us refusing the Cure; the indwelling of our LORD GOD in our hearts directing our path through Jesus Christ. Have you not read.....

And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of the Christ;

You cannot deny this is works salvation. We obey the Gospel (2 Thessalonians 1:8), then we already are obedient in some way.

Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. 2 John 9

You cannot deny this is works salvation. We obey the Gospel (2 Thessalonians 1:8), then we already are obedient in some way.
For in HIM we live, and move, and have our being; For it is HE that works in us both to will and do HIS good pleasure. For we are dead nevertheless we live yet not us but Christ lives in us and the life we now live in the flesh we live by the Faith of the Son of GOD who gave himself for us. Christ in us the Hope of Glory. For without Him we can do nothing but in Him all things are possible. And in Him is life; choose life and live.

We are called to abide in Him, in which we are to remain connected in relationship with Him.

False converts, who are part of the faith, but not of true faith will indeed fall away.

Also, John Calvin did not teach unconditional eternal security, here is what he taught:
"the hearts of the godly are so effectually governed by the Spirit of God, that through an inflexible disposition they follow his guidance." (John Calvin)
"the power of the Spirit is so effectual, that it necessarily retains us in continual obedience to righteousness." (John Calvin)

He did not believe salvation was a one time thing. God bless.
In Calvinism Irresistible grace and Perseverance of the saints the I and P in TULIP combined are indistinguishable from OSAS doctrine..

Definitions below..

There is a choice to purge oneself through Christ to become part of the Vessel of honor; Jesus Christ.


However there is certain amount of predestination involved.

Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? I believe Gods predestination is based upon His already existing foreknowledge of us, our entire lives, our personal response to His revealed will.. And that He foreknew us from the moment of creation... It is not as the calvinists preach that God forces one to respond positivly to His will and he blocks another from accepting His will.. God did not create one to have eternity in Heaven and another to burn for eternity in the lake of fire.. We must have Faith and keep the Faith..

Note that in the story of Pharaoh, that Pharaoh rejected the will of God twice by his own free will before God decided to then force Pharoah to keep rejecting His will so as to use Pharaoh's rejections as an opertunity to show the great signs and wonders to leave no one in doubt that it was God who liberated the Hebrews from Egypt and not Moses and Aaron..

I looked at the amount of people who voted and I'm surprised to see that it's as few as only 3, I was expecting to be at least 20 or soaring up to 100's given the amount of bickering going on
