The Ten Virgins, including the five who were not prepared, must have (1) believed in the bridegroom, and (2) that the bridegroom was coming or they wouldn't have been waiting.

So, it seems that (1) we cannot assume eternal salvation, and (2) the un-preparedness of the five suggests they failed to run the race to the end.

The pharisees believed the messiah was coming, It did not make them saved.

Being a member of a church does not mean you are saved.

The ones who did not have the oil, did not have the holy spirit (the HS is represented by oil many times)

run the race? Whatever, you do not run a race to get oil in your lamp..

Ask Paul about running the race to the end and he will tell you that people fall away. That is the error of OSAS.

The other points you make prove that simple belief is not sufficient.

Surely then if they never endured (assumption being they rejected Jesus) then why would they be waiting for his return?

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the scripture that I would refer you to.

We were dead in our trespasses when God saved us, we had no ability to obey while we were spiritually dead. We became obedient when we were quickened to life in Christ. We received a great salvation and the forgiveness of sin and eternal life and in return we obeyed as it was the least we could do in response to such an amazing love.

I would argue that we weren't saved because we were obedient, I would say we obeyed because we were saved.

Please stop making unbiblical statments to God's people to deceive them, and not being able to back up what you claim with scripture.

false accusations from the most dishonest person i have met on CC since PJ

You have not answered my question, which comes from the scriptures.

Here is my question.

Why don't you believe it is necessary to confess your sins to be forgiven?

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

i dont care about your answer to my questions

Because you are a deceiver, teaching false doctrine to God's precious people.

You claim there is no need to confess you sins to God to be forgiven, when the Bible plainly and clearly says we must, in order to be forgiven and cleansed from all unrighteousness.

The spirit that is driving your doctrine is the spirit of error.

We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. 1 John 4:6

Do not assume they rejected Jesus, if that were the case they would not have been waiting for him.

More likely they failed to grow in faith with their daily walk as they continued with the Lord.

Sorry PS I'm struggling to understand what you are saying.
If they did not endure then they stopped running and trurned their back on Jesus.

Therefore not waiting for him.

Paul did not run the race to be saved, He ran the race to be counted worthy, to recieve reward. To Give God the glory,

Paul did not think he had to run to be saved, you need to figure out the truth, that there is a different between salvation and sanctification. Paul ran as part of his sanctification process. His salvation process (justification) was already compete. (As paul said It is his belief that God had perfected him forever, and that God will complete what he started)

You have to get yourself out of the equation man, You can offer God nothing.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

to answer your question without pointing out your error in my answer (which last time i was-pointing at your false understanding you need to be re-forgiven after every sin and re-gain or maintain your salvation)

i believe i have been forgiven already
delivered from the law of sin and death
and imputed with the righteousness of Jesus

so now

no matter what my walk looks like

come judgement i will be spotless having the righteousness of Jesus and not my own

but i still do say sorry when i sin

not to grab my salvation back out of torment

like some task i need to accomplish

but God has given me a new heart that hates sin

so when i fall short

it hurts
i wish to be delivered from this

and know He provides a way out

this is a natural response out of love

not some necessity

now

i dont care about your answer to my questions

i know they would dishonest and just based on the teachings of demons-or men

more self righteousness.

Man when will you figure out its not about you, Its about Jesus? He will not share his glory with anyone, But he will share his gift, if you just humble yourself and ask.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is Holy Scripture, do you believe it or not

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand.

The Gospel was preached by John the Baptist, then Jesus, and then His Apostles, long before the New Testament was written.

  • From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17

  • and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15

I have asked you to provide scripture for the things you say.

Much of what you say is just things your Pastor has said and may or may not be biblical.

By going to the scriptures and studying what the scriptures teach, you will learn for yourself.

Get down on your knees and pray and ask God to fill you with His Spirit, and teach you His word.

he said repent,

Those who come to true saving faith have repented. They do not keep repenting, because they already have.

When will you repent? and recieve God with grace and mercy, and not try to earn your salvation by what you do?

So many people miss the simplicity of the gospel.

Charles Stanley wrote:

Christians cannot be lost because we have no sins left to pay for. 100% of sins have been forgiven. The potential for being unforgiven has been done away with. The risk factor is zero

Salvation is a gift that cannot be taken back. A gift that can be taken back is no gift at all. True gifts have no strings attached. Once you place a condition of any kind on a gift, it becomes a trade, not a gift.

You cannot even give it back. You can give it back only if the giver accepts the return. In the case of salvation God has a strict no-return policy.

After salvation, not a single work is required to keep it. God does not even require a constant attitude of faith in order to be saved - only an act of faith. Christians are not saved because we have enduring faith. We are saved because we expressed faith in our enduring Lord.

Some will claim that belief/faith is itself a work, but the Bible shoots that down very quickly:

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)

The Bible clearly says faith is not a work.

It's 100% Jesus, or not at all.

Therefore not waiting for him.
But they were waiting for Him, so plainly they had not turned their back on Jesus.

Whereas Paul was:- pressing toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Php 3:14 KJV)
