So your doctrine teaches that a born again Christian, whose wife left him for another Church member, can live in unforgiveness and hate and still be saved?

Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15

If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? 1 John 4:20

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. 1 John 5:2

32 Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. 33 Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’ 34 And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. 35 “So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.” Matthew 18:32-35

  • So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.”

God Himself will revoke the forgiveness of sins, that he gave us, and reinstate the penalty for our sins, if we don't forgive.

Why do you WALLOW in this SICK, MORBID hypothetical situations. It is NOT NATURAL.

Now our Church does not teach anything like that.

HERE IS WHAT WE TEACH AND ACTUALLY LIVE IN:

James 1:25 (NCV)
25 But the truly happy people are those who carefully study God’s perfect law that makes people free, and they continue to study it. They do not forget what they heard, but they obey what God’s teaching says. Those who do this will be made happy.

2 Timothy 2:14-16 (NKJV)
14 Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to strive about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers.
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
16 But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness.

Galatians 5:22-25 (ASV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 meekness, self-control; against such there is no law.

24 And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof.
25 If we live by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us also walk.

Hebrews 10:21-25 (HCSB)
21 and since we have a great high priest over the house of God,
22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, our hearts sprinkled ⌊clean⌋ from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water.
23 Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
24 And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works,

25 not staying away from our ⌊worship⌋ meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Ephesians 5:15-21 (NIV)
15 Be very careful, then, how you live--not as unwise but as wise,
16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.
17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.
18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.
19 Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord,
20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.

That is the kind of Church that I will always seek out if I ever move again. Actually I think my moving days are over, Except for Going HOME, to the Wedding of the Lamb. AND yes, I am attending the a VERY GOOD, conservative Evangelical Type of Church, were we believe that FEEDING THE SHEEP, should be the dominant part of the Worship Service. That means one hour of expository BIBLE TEACHING, and only 40 devoted to everything else.

revolving door salvation

notice

"person" no thought what-so-ever about what it means to be an adopted son or daughter of God

salvation depends on the efforts of the individual

in this mind set

not only does God toss His children into the lake of fire

but one can be saved and unsaved 100 times in a day

never get into heaven

and still have been "saved" at some point

complete nonsense

Jesus is NOT just some prerequisite for salvation

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

Why don't you believe it is necessary to confess your sins to be forgiven?

So when I have sinned and not confessed it straight away, I'm not a happy chappy.
The Holy Spirit continues to prod.
I then confess and ask for help and thank God that on account of Jesus I am forgiven.

Bill

I agree.

why dont i believe it is necessary to maintain or regain your own salvation to an already adopted son/daughter of God?

because it's not
and the bible is very clear about this

but i do believe it is necessary for a clear conscience and a more fruitful walk

now why dont you believe Jesus when He says He wont lose even one of His?

also

why dont you believe His children are kept by His power through FAITH unto salvation?
(you have already been debunked on your false definition of faith)

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

_________

37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

FIRST OF ALL, it is NOT BELIEVE that EQUALS OBEDIENCE.

It is LOVE that Equals OBEDIENCE, it says so, and your interpretations is TOTALLY WRONG.

If you were following what I write, I said -

  • Love requires obedience.

We are to obey the commandment to love God, by obey the commandment to love our neighbor.

20 If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? 21 And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.
1 John 4:20-21

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. 1 John 5:2

  • Righteousness requires obedience.

Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 1 John 3:7

By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. Hebrews 11:7

Noah heard God and obeyed Him, in which he walked in the righteousness of faith.

  • Justification requires obedience

21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? James 2:21

Abraham was justified when he obeyed God and offered Isaac on the altar.

And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” 9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham. Galatians 3:8

Abraham again was justified by obedience when he heard God and obeyed, by getting out of his country and leaving his father house, to a land that God would show him.

Here is the incident -

Now the Lord had said to Abram:

“Get out of your country,
From your family
And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you.
2 I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
3 I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
4 So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him...
Genesis 12:1-4

Abraham typified the Gospel, by hearing and obeying, in which he turned from his old life and followed the Lord.

And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” Galatians 3:8

That's why it's called the obedience of faith.

But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: Romans 16:26

  • the commandment of the everlasting God, for the obedience of faith

Faith requires obedience

When you break His commandments, you are hating God and hating your brother.

Jesus is NOT just some prerequisite for salvation
can you imagine a child who was adopted by two parents, only to find out he would only be allowed to maintain the status pf a child loved by his or her parents (Something every child cherishes, nothing can tear a child down more than thinking their own parents do not love them)

the relationship is already broken at that point, the child has no hope. and he always has to live in fear of not makin ghis or her parents happy, and losing their love, and even worse, being kicked out of the family.

these people do not realize how unloving they proclaim God is.

Believe does not equal obey, so why should we believe your false gospel or anything you say?

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” Romans 10:16

So you don't believe we are to obey the Gospel?

Here is the result of giving heed to your gospel of disobedience -

in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Thessalonians 1:9

Why do you resist God, and reject His scriptures?

We are told to submit to God.

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:7-8

Submit - Strong's G5293 - hypotassō

  1. to arrange under, to subordinate
  2. to subject, put in subjection
  3. to subject one's self, obey
  4. to submit to one's control
  5. to yield to one's admonition or advice
  6. to obey, be subject

That is what the Gospel commands us.

Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand.

Repent means to turn to God and submit to Him as Lord.

Good grief, you people are just plain ignorant of anything to do with the scriptures.

Please study to show yourself approved unto God, so you won't be ashamed at what you write here and teach people.

That's all well and good, the point we disagree on is where the will to do good and obey comes from.

You're quoting all of these scriptures which remind us that no unrighteous person will be saved on the day of judgement. You make it sound like the good works come from your goodness and obedience, I would argue that any goodness or obedience we have is given to us as a gift.

Ok, please show the scripture that says our obedience to God is a gift.

This is an everyday occurance in Churches throughout America, where Pastors and leaders fornicate and commit adultery with the women in the Church married and unmarried.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the scripture that I would refer you to.

We were dead in our trespasses when God saved us, we had no ability to obey while we were spiritually dead. We became obedient when we were quickened to life in Christ. We received a great salvation and the forgiveness of sin and eternal life and in return we obeyed as it was the least we could do in response to such an amazing love.

I would argue that we weren't saved because we were obedient, I would say we obeyed because we were saved.

false accusations from the most dishonest person i have met on CC since PJ

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

to answer your question without pointing out your error in my answer (which last time i was-pointing at your false understanding you need to be re-forgiven after every sin and re-gain or maintain your salvation)

i believe i have been forgiven already
delivered from the law of sin and death
and imputed with the righteousness of Jesus

so now

no matter what my walk looks like

come judgement i will be spotless having the righteousness of Jesus and not my own

but i still do say sorry when i sin

not to grab my salvation back out of torment

like some task i need to accomplish

but God has given me a new heart that hates sin

so when i fall short

it hurts
i wish to be delivered from this

and know He provides a way out

this is a natural response out of love

not some necessity

now

i dont care about your answer to my questions

i know they would dishonest and just based on the teachings of demons-or men

They will claim it is in God, But how they can say that iwith a straight face is mindboggling
