Exodus 25
10 And they shall make an ark of acacia wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof. 11 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a [g]crown of gold round about. 12 And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four feet thereof; and two rings shall be on the one [h]side of it, and two rings on the other [i]side of it. 13 And thou shalt make staves of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold. 14 And thou shalt put the staves into the rings on the sides of the ark, wherewith to bear the ark. 15 The staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken from it. 16 And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee. 17 And thou shalt make a [j]mercy-seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof. 18 And thou shalt make two cherubim of gold; of [k]beaten work shalt thou make them, at the two ends of the mercy-seat. 19 And make one cherub at the one end, and one cherub at the other end: [l]of one piece with the mercy-seat shall ye make the cherubim on the two ends thereof. 20 And the cherubim shall spread out their wings on high, covering the mercy-seat with their wings, with their faces one to another; toward the mercy-seat shall the faces of the cherubim be. 21 And thou shalt put the mercy-seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee. 22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy-seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

Covered in gold with two cherubim of gold; the mercy seat of pure gold and "I (the LORD) will meet with you there, and I'll tell you all my commandments for the Israelis from above the Mercy Seat, from between the two cherubim that are on the Ark of the Testimony." (Exo 25:22 ISV)

Pure paganism.

Pure paganism.
Do you even know what you are talking about?
Who gave the instructions to build the Ark of the Covenant?
What was th purpose?
Where is that Ark right now?

So to call it "pure paganism" is pure foolishness.

Of course it is. The pomp and ceremony is worse than anything the Catholics do. Remember the god of the Jews is the god of 1 nation. The true God is the God of all people.

Matthew 6:19-21 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

We don't bow down the graven images, at least I hope you don't.

The Israelites worshipped numerous idols. They called the Golden Calf LORD. According to Aaron the Golden Calf represented the god's that brought them out of Egypt.

If truth comes from God, then I am God, because I am giving you the truth. As far as righteousness is concerned, meaning "right living," then Moses was guilty of "wrong living" when he murdered thousands of Canaanites.

Well Moses was just a human being and thus He sinned.. But the war that was ordered against the Canaanites was ordered by God as a judgement against them.. Actually since Moses never entered into the land of Canaan ( He was banned by God from entering into the promised land ) you cannot even say Moses killed the Canaanites..

Oh and you are not God and thus your claims here are not truth at all..

You should have taken some time to study the matter out properly before responding. I asked several questions which you failed to answer, then went off on a tangent which has no relevance.

So let me set this straight.

EXODUS 25
And the LORD spake unto Moses
, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering...

And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye makeit.

And they shall make an ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof. (vv 1,2, 8-10)

So ask yourself a few questions:

Does God command idolatry? Absolutely not

Did God command Moses? Absolutely

Did God command Israel? Absolutely

Was the pattern of the tabernacle a heavenly pattern? Absolutely

Was the Ark of the Covenant according to the commandment of God? Absolutely

So you just accused God of Paganism. That is not only foolishness but blasphemy.

More foolish talk. Bottom line -- are you are Christian or something else?

I'm a Christian, meaning I follow Jesus. I am not a Jew claiming to be a Christian like many do on here, giving Christianity a bad reputation, because they still hold to their Jewish traditions under the Old Covenant by which means they pervert Christianity with their Jewishness.

You are right that today´s judaism is as dark as paganism, totally without the true knowledge of God.

But before Christ came, the OT was given to Israel by God, so the ark of covenant, temple and other properties of the Old Covenant were not pagan in origin. It was temporal, but not pagan.

More than anything else the Old Testament is a history of the Jewish Nation, while only a small proportion is about their religious duties. Spiritually speaking the New Testament is far more beneficial with regard to our daily walk with God.

This is probably true. Most of the Old Covenant Scriptures are Israel-oriented.

We can see some symbolism of Church in their history, but I also have a problem reading about dozens of their kings and problems and wars etc.

But some books of the OT are basic, Genesis, Exodus, Proverbs, Isaiah and many others, we should know them.

The New Testament is far more beneficial to us, indeed.

Remember as well it was the I AM who brought the people out of Egypt, guided them through the wilderness, fed them manna from heaven, and Jesus was the Rock that Moses struck. Jesus said, no man can follow two masters and I have made my choice. The other thing is, we need to remember what era we are living in and follow God accordingly.

I have things to do, good talking to you.

this doesn't logically follow.

if every cherry is red, it doesn't mean everything red is a cherry
I know, just my bit of fun. :p

The truth is we worship God with our whole body, with our heart, soul and mind, by what we do and what we say, so as to bring glory and honour to the Lord.

While the I AM was looking over, keeping and protecting his chosen ones, they were whoring and worshipping other gods made of stone, wood, and gold. I cannot begin to imagine how the Lord must have felt. He has been weeping over His people ever since.
