Love WHO? Matthew 5:44&43
43. Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy.
44. But I say unto you, (Love your enemies,) (bless) them that curse you, (do good) to them that hate you, and (pray) for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.
46. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47. And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
Luke 6:26-28
26. Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
27. But I say unto you which hear, (Love your enemies,) (do good) to them which hate you,
28. Bless) them that curse you, and (pray) for them which despitefully use you.
Sure its not easy in the flesh ........But as God in us gives us His Spirit He loves through us.......So you might say no way i cant do that ...or i do not want to love everyone......well God Commands us to love.......John 15:17 These things I command you, that ye love one another. When i was very young i had a hard time loving, God loved me, then i could love myself, then i was able to love others. Yes God will help us to love folks with His power, remember love overcomes evil because God is love......love in Christ Sherril....

Hello!Sis :) wonderful blog post!

Matthew 22:38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." If we really love GOD loving others naturally follows. The people saying they love God but refused to love others don't really love God.

Ephesians 5: 1-2 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; [SUP]2 [/SUP]And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savor.

Reflecting our God on the earth being vessels of honor, with the Holy Spirit in us to guide us and direct us there will be love.....pure love, Gods love manifested on the earth ................You might say you love God but if you are not loving others with the love of God?..........1 John 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?.......1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God................Love in Christ Sherril.........

Amen. Thank you, Sherril. I wonder if part of the reason we're told to love our enemies is because that demonstration of love might draw people to Christ.
