I like hiking and enjoying the beauty of nature. It always has a refreshing effect on me. I like taking pictures as well, so it makes hiking more fun for me.

Here's the latest one: https://hanzhen71317.wordpress.com/2018/05/19/a-weekend-getaway/

When was the last time you enjoyed nature (a walk, a hiking trip, mountain climbing, site-seeing, etc)?

Three weeks ago. Mountain biked in the hills around a pretty big lake.

That is beautiful! Thank you for sharing. I don't hike. I walk on the trails here in my town...when I go next, I'll take some pics to share. Love your photos, though. :D

Hi zhen,
We used to hike when i was young, and go to beaches more often. Nowadays, i still appreciate nature, but there are less opportunities to go "out." I used to have a shell collection, and one time, do you know i found a small seahorse and was i thrilled.. but this was not from trip to the beach (if i remember right, from some dried dilis yata=). I like to draw usually plants-- and the little weeds not often noticed in walks. Sometimes i take pictures too.

Here are some botanical gardens I visited in November.

If only I had someone's child so I can reenact a Lion King moment.

Hunting last fall, if that counts.

Whoa, love the photos! Waterfalls are my favorite :). Last summer we had a family reunion in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We went on a 4 ish mile hike around a lake, it was beautiful! It was called Lake of the Clouds...here's a picture of it (I didn't take this picture). It was a beautiful day and I had a great time. We also saw a bunch of waterfalls on that trip--some pretty large that you view respectfully from a distance, and some smaller ones that you can interact with a bit. I like the small ones better, in a way.

I remember a family vacation to the Upper Peninsula many years ago. Tahquamenon Falls was most impressive. So was Lake Superior. The trip was in July but the water was frigid and too cold for quick dip.

Last summer my family and I went camping for a few days. We did more driving than hiking, but it’s hard to climb mountains with two little kids.

First photo- this mountain overlooks a quirky little town called Gothic. The entire area is stunning.
Second photo- on a “road” going up the side of a mountain. This was a nice section- the rest of it was a sheer drop off on my side and I may or may not have had to close my eyes most of the time.

Ok I have to confess....

I love nature and the outdoors. I used to go to the beach every weekend and go mountain biking and boogieboarding and took photos because photography is one of my favorite hobbies. I want to share my pics here but for privacy reasons I can't... I might be able to later, we'll see.

Here is one that I can share for now... (this was at a park, not at the beach)

Sounds like fun. The seahorse was very funny, haha
