Please don’t be deceived by anyone, and don’t also deceive yourself. Many say they are Children of GOD ALMIGHTY but they refused to forgive those who have hurt them in one way or the other. Others are enemies with their neighbors, brothers, sisters, friends, colleagues, relatives and parents because of what they have done to them.
This attitude of unforgiveness and hatred toward others is absolutely from the devil.
How can you called yourself or think that you are a Child of GOD when you hate and refused to forgive others for what they have done to you? For it is written, “... He who does not love abides in death. Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him (1John 3:14).”
My dear, if you really love JESUS CHRIST who is LOVE; you will forgive because Love forgives. JESUS CHRIST who is LOVE proved this when HE was on the cross. Look at how JESUS react to those who crucified HIM; HE said, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do (Luke 23:34).”
HE overlooked their ignorance and forgave their wrongs.
Look at what our precious brethren Stephen did when he was stoned to die. The Jews stirred up false charges against him for preaching the Gospel and ordered his execution. For it is written, “And as they were stoning Stephen, he prayed, ‘LORD JESUS, receive my spirit.’ And he knelt down and cried with a loud voice, ‘LORD, do not hold this sin against them.’ And when he had said this, he fell asleep (Act 7:59-60)”.
My precious brothers and sisters; always be quick to forgive. Don’t say, “But what he did was terrible”; there’s no wrong that doesn’t deserve forgiveness. JESUS proved it.
As you take stock and round off year day, one thing you must ensure is to look into your life and confidently say that you hold nothing against anyone.
If you have anything against anyone make sure that you forgive them from your heart. You must always forgive others, irrespective of what they might have done against you.
Finally, take special note of this that even the most difficult people, under the most difficult circumstances, still deserve to be loved; and Love forgives.
So, love like JESUS CHRIST. Forgive like JESUS CHRIST.
