As I limp along sluggishly in this super bleak, low period of my life, devoting myself now to having true faith, still battling my own inner demons (and trying to extricate my mind from a fascination with real demons, seeking signs of the spiritual world with such intensity has led me to even look for demons), surrendering to God, opening my heart up to God's word and constant prayer-- I would love to hear people's personal testimonies about how the Power of God has impacted your life in a very real, meaningful way. What things have you experienced that convinced you that the world isn't just emptiness, randomness, chance, etc.-- that there are greater forces at work, that God listens and intervenes at times. Or examples of "godwinks"-- the more subtle signals of God speaking to you, helping to guide you. Or any special story you might have from your life that speaks to the power of prayer. It is the power of prayer that I think makes the difference right now between total collapse into idle misery and renewed energy, a thorough cleansing, a solid sense of purpose.

I do have my own personal story about a miracle that saved my life nearly 16 years ago. Right now, in a very different way I am in need of God more than ever and I seek His guidance to embrace His will for my life. My life is being wasted as we speak. I want total transformation through Christ. I am ready to follow God's will in any way He directs me. I need to find my way out of this stagnant gutter.

I take great comfort and find much encouragement when I hear the inspiring stories of other people whose lives have been radically transformed through the Power and Will of the Almighty.

before I was saved there was one night I was alone in bed, I felt so alone and like I didn't matter as if no one cared about me and why should they? It's a horrible aweful feeling and I just broke down in tears and in my tears and desperation I said to God I don't know if your really real or not but if you are I need you to show me you are, I need to know I am not alone in this world. I fell asleep still wet from all my tears and suddenly I was in this pure white place standing right next to God himself, you couldn't see a physical form as he was in the spirit but I was on his right side and in front of us he was showing me a river of rainbow colors that were so vivid and so beautiful so much more than anything you will ever see here on earth.

The beauty of it made brought me to tears nothing has ever been so beautiful that it brought me to tears before this. He spoke to me saying what we were looking at was his plan. Now as for if it was his plan for me, for the world or perhaps both I don't know but all I could in my tears was thank you for showing me this over and over again until the dream ended. This was the first time I met God the father but it wouldn't be the last

Blain is so true when you are broken and cry out to God, He has so much to show you. The will becomes surrendered to His.
Is a process the heart transforms and the mind opens to the amazement of God's love for you and that love and peace shall guide you all the days of your life.

I'm fully aware God does great big miracles, but I sometimes stand more amazed at the small things. for example:

I was home watching tv when a commercial for chocolate came on. I said to myself, "oh I want chocolate!!!"

about 10 minutes later, my dad gets home from work. he said, "Melita, I went to the store for some things, and I got you this." he hands me a chocolate bar! of course it wasn't a coincidence!

that day, I saw again how important we are to God. even in small things, He cares. :)
