Hi hope you don't mind I see that a little differently I would offer an opinion from another perspective. Looking at the context of Romans 9:5-6 which I have offered below. I believe the scriptures inform us as it reads. in Romans 9:6. as a summary; For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: or coming from Israel , It I believe would reflect what Christ said of His own flesh, it profits for nothing .It is the Spirit of life that can give spirit life. His words are spirit, giving us new life and a living hope of a new body that will never die
So then I would ask which Israel, the one in respect to the Jew who is one outwardly of the flesh and temporal spirit. Or the one who is a Jew inwardly born of the Spirit of Christ. She is given a new name that God promised to name His bride….Christian….. Christian, I believe is a word with no other meaning added means “residents of the city of Christ” a city prepared as His bride as those born again given a new spirit of the Spirit of Christ a new spirit that could never die, but will sleep to rise on the last day. According to my understanding I think it’s a befitting new name he named us.
Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
I would think if we were to look to an outward Jew understanding by what we see rather than walking or understanding by faith.(the unseen eternal) Making that seen the earthly corrupted Israel as if it was the eternal not seen the new heavenly Jerusalem . Then it would make the word of God without effect as we are informed in verse 6 and make the outward Jews flesh the effecter, rendering the word of God useless. You could say turning things upside down
I believe that would also take away from the loving commandment to know no man after the flesh. We walk by the faith of Christ, the faith that comes from hearing the Holy Spirit of God. God is no respecter of persons
Rom 9:5 Whose are the a fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.Rom 9:6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:
3[SUP]rd[/SUP] temple? Where in prophecy can we find the idea that Christ would come more than once in the flesh? There is no Father of the Spirits .Fathers of flesh ....innumerable. Eternal Spirit as our living God remains without mother or father beginning of spirit life nor end thereof.
He informs us he in not a man as us but is Emanuel, God with us.
Do we need another demonstration or would that fit the Hebrews 6 context and expose Him to public shame, crucifying him over and over? Thanks, things to think on
I HAVE SAID OVER AND OVER,
O.T. Saints are only those who BELIEVE GOD would send a MESSIAH.
N.T. Saints are only those who BELIEVE GOD did send a MESSIAH, Jesus Christ.
THAT IS THE SAME FAITH, THE FAITH OF ABRAHAM.
THAT DOES NOT MAKE A GENTILE A SPIRITUAL ISRAELITE, ABRAHAM WAS NOT AN ISRAELITE, HE WAS A CHALDEAN. ABRAHAM WAS NOT THE FATHER OF ONE NATION, HE WAS THE FATHER OF MANY NATIONS.
Romans 9:6-8 (HCSB)
[SUP]
6 [/SUP] But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel.
[SUP]
7 [/SUP] Neither are they all children because they are Abraham’s descendants. On the contrary, your offspring will be traced through Isaac.
[SUP]
8 [/SUP] That is, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but the children of the promise are considered to be the offspring.
READ IT AGAIN, it is ONLY TALKING ABOUT JEWS, that ARGUMENT PAUL WAS SETTLING was some thought all JEWS WERE CHILDREN OF GOD, JUST BECAUSE OF THEIR BLOODLINE. YOU HAD TO HAVE THE RIGHT BLOODLINE AND HAVE THE FAITH OF ABRAHAM, TO BE CONSIDERED AS PART OF WHAT GOD MEANT BY ISRAEL. YES WE TOO ARE ADOPTED CHILDREN OF GOD, BUT WE DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT BLOODLINE, SO WE HAVE NO CLAIM TO THE TITLE "ISRAELITE".
You do not become an Israelite to become a Christian, NOR do you become an Israelite because you became a Christian.
The COMMON PROMISE WE BOTH HAVE when we have that SAVING FAITH, is SALVATION which makes us Adopted Chrildren of GOD. THAT PLACES OUR CITIZENSHIP IN HEAVEN, NOT IN ISRAEL.
Philippians 3:20-21 (NASB)
[SUP]
20 [/SUP] For
our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;
[SUP]
21 [/SUP] who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.
Romans 4:2-5 (HCSB)
[SUP]
2 [/SUP] If Abraham was justified by works, he has something to brag about—but not before God.
[SUP]
3 [/SUP] For what does the Scripture say?
Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness.
[SUP]
4 [/SUP] Now to the one who works, pay is not considered as a gift, but as something owed.
[SUP]
5 [/SUP] But to the one who does not work, but believes on Him who declares the ungodly to be righteous, his faith is credited for righteousness.
WHAT IS THE SUBJECT OF THOSE VERSES? Is it not "What does it take to be JUSTIFIED in the Sight of GOD?"
The Promise that HE Declares RIGHTEOUS those who BELIEVED GOD WOULD SEND A MESSIAH. WHEN did ABRAHAM come to Understand that? AFTER HE started to offer up ISAAC as a sacrifice and GOD PROVIDED a ram. THE PROMISE that is Universal for all Nations, is the Promise of SALVATION.
The Promise that UNIQUE to a physical decendents of ISRAEL, is that their people will inherit the land of the Caananites. You tell me which is more important.
Genesis 17:5 (GWT)
[SUP]
5 [/SUP] So your name will no longer be Abram [Exalted Father], but Abraham [Father of Many] because I have made you a father of
many nations.
{NOT the One Nation Israel.}
Genesis 17:7-8 (GW)
[SUP]
7 [/SUP] I will make my promise to you and your descendants for generations to come as an everlasting promise. I will be your God and the God of your descendants.
[SUP]
8 [/SUP] I am also giving this land where you are living—all of Canaan—to you and your descendants as your permanent possession. And I will be your God.”
1 Chronicles 16:15-18 (HCSB)
[SUP]
15 [/SUP] Remember His covenant forever—
the promise He ordained for a thousand generations,
[SUP]
16 [/SUP] ⌊the covenant⌋ He made with Abraham, swore to Isaac,
[SUP]
17 [/SUP] and confirmed to Jacob as a decree, and to Israel as an everlasting covenant:
[SUP]
18 [/SUP] “I will give the land of Canaan to you as your inherited portion.”
Which is a more important PROMISE, A thousand generations inheriting the land of CAANAN, or ETERNAL SALVATION?

NOW, I caught your DENIAL OF THE PHYSICAL, GLORIFIED,
BODY OF JESUS CHRIST RETURNING. Here are a few verses the prove your theory of only a spiritual return is
pure HERESY.
Acts 1:9-11 (HCSB)
[SUP]
9 [/SUP] After He had said this, He was taken up as they were watching, and a cloud took Him out of their sight.
[SUP]
10 [/SUP] While He was going, they were gazing into heaven, and suddenly two men in white clothes stood by them.
[SUP]
11 [/SUP] They said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven,
will come in the same way that you have seen Him going into heaven.”
Philippians 3:21 (GW)
[SUP]
21 [/SUP] Through his power to bring everything under his authority, he will change our humble bodies and
make them like his glorified body.
Romans 4:24 (BBE)
[SUP]
24 [/SUP] But for us in addition, to whose account it will be put, if we have faith in him
who made Jesus our Lord come back again from the dead,
Luke 24:37-43 (NCV)
[SUP]
37 [/SUP] They were fearful and terrified and thought they were seeing a ghost.
[SUP]
38 [/SUP] But Jesus said,
“Why are you troubled? Why do you doubt what you see?
[SUP]
39 [/SUP]
Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have a living body as you see I have.“
[SUP]
40 [/SUP] After Jesus said this, he showed them his hands and feet.
[SUP]
41 [/SUP] While they still could not believe it because they were amazed and happy, Jesus said to them,
“Do you have any food here?“
[SUP]
42 [/SUP] They gave him a piece of broiled fish.
[SUP]
43 [/SUP] While the followers watched,
Jesus took the fish and ate it.
Zechariah 14:4 (HCSB)
[SUP]
4[/SUP]
On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east. The Mount of Olives will be split in half from east to west, forming a huge valley, so that half the mountain will move to the north and half to the south.
Matthew 26:29 (NASB)

"But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom."
