Christian podcast??

So as you know I do: I do something, get bored, and tend to dolphin to something else. In this case, I was wondering if maybe trying out a podcast would be a good idea. I have some ok recording equipment, and I also have an account on soundcloud which lets you upload podcasts.

The reason? To be totally honest, I wanted to try and do some content for my whole "Christian Safe Social media" idea. It doesn't work too well just on facebook, and youtube tends to be a lot of end time conspiracy theories (but does have great evangelists on there too I admit, but ususally it's recordings of people's sermons as oppsed to made online itself.)....

Basically I wanted to talk to people, and probably parents, about trying to be safe and enjoy the internets. It would be just me, heck unless someone else wanted to talk, and I would take the audio and load it to soundcloud. Then I would take and put it on youtube as well.

Does that sound like a good idea...?? Admittedly I'm trying to figure out how to make some kind of living online, and not through the usual means. My situation is less than usual.

Another topic I could do is caregiving. In my case those of us kids helping take care of parents. I'm lucky since I have no children to worry about, and my dad isn't like an invalid or anything.

Go for it. I would recommend that you do research before you go live. For instance, in a discussion about how to be safe on the internet you should have some concrete things to do to stay safe. Things like: if you are a student, don't share personal information about yourself: school name, city you live in.... There is A LOT of information on the internet out there about how to be safe. Don't make up info or just talk with out planning what you are going to say. Educate yourself about what expert adults say about your topics. Write out notes, practice and then go live!!! Have fun!!
