Though I'm new bud over here, in this amazing blessed forum, I feel I'm getting addicted to check in here like every day? 3 hrs? I know this is weird ...but do y'all think this is a good addiction or a bad one? Coz, on the contrary, I'm getting less time for studies... Despite knowing that I come here often...:/

Thanks a ton for all your support :)

Yea initially it can be an addiction and quite cool like a Christian facebook if you will, but spending countless hours on here is counterproductive lol. I would say if you must to do what I used to do in school....make myself study in 45 min "bursts" if you will then give yourself 5-10 min break to use CC or relax whatever and then go for another 45 min session.....but you got to be disciplined and not let yourself slide from 5 to 20 min breaks lol.....

No problem! :) Also there are settings where you can un subscribe from threads and likes so your inbox on your real email does not get backed up.....and you feel like you have to check it frequently....it's a useful tool under the settings tab and you can click notifications on/off or which ones you want....I recommend turning them all off except for private messaging b/c likes, threads etc can fill up your inbox too much....

2 Peter Chapter 1

5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

Proverbs 13:4 - The soul of the sluggard desireth, and [hath] nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.

2 Chronicles 15:7 - Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded.

I can appreciate your thoughts. I think only you can determine the boundaries you set for checking a site like this or even Facebook etc. When it begins to control you and other priorities slip than you have to set some boundaries. If checking gives you a sense of calm and peace and allows you to accomplish more than maybe it is a good thing. Like other "things" we can do it is always good to evaluate where you are and do a self check to see if you are acting appropriately. Maybe you could set aside 1/2 hour a day to log on and check your posts. Maybe even set a timer so that you can be responsible and time doesn't slip away as it so easily can online. There may be a season of your life where chatting with friends online meets a genuine need and helps you move past something. Pray about it and ask God to walk with you.

Thanks a lot sister! Yup a timer would be actually great! Actually my other addictions weirdly weren't facebook but TSR (the student forum) and Wattpad...:) Yeah, you're right indeed...about the "when it begins to control you"I suppose it applies everywhere except God right? :)
