They're changing alright...

Where’s global warming? Arctic ice cap grows

Dire forecasts of a summertime, ice-free Arctic have been abundant, from Al Gore to the BBC to Sierra Club Canada.
The reality? Big fail!

Blogger Steven Goddard at Real Science is citing information from the National Snow and Ice Data Center in Boulder, Colorado, showing the Arctic ice mass, as of Sept. 7, is substantially bigger than it was in September 2012.

“Nobel Prize winning climate experts and journalists tell us that the Arctic is ice-free, because they are propagandists pushing an agenda, not actual scientists or journalists,” he writes.
In the past three years, he points out, the Arctic ice mass “has gained hundreds of miles … much of which is thick, multi-year ice.”

WND long has reported the predictions of an ice-free Arctic by scientists who believe mankind is causing global warming.
But in just last few winters, Cairo saw its first snow in 100 years. And Oregon, like several other states, reached its coldest temperature in 40 years. Chicago saw the coldest days ever recorded, and – as if to add finality to the trend – Antarctica reached the coldest temperature ever recorded anywhere on earth.

The holes in the theories that form the basis of ice-free Arctic forecasts are evident.

Some of these clowns just cant accept that the con is over.... I guess if they can still deceive half the population, they figure it must still be working?

Most people still believe in global warming so the con goes on.

Yep that's the way it works. As that famous Nazi once said "tell people a lie often enough and long enough. Loud enough; and they will believe it.

Global Warming hasn't been proven, it might not even be possible to prove. Climate Change on the other hand is a pretty verifiable fact. Climate Change does not necessarily mean that it affects the whole of earth's climate, but it is undeniable that there is man made change to localized climates at the least. I think both sides of this modern but tired and old debate should at least come to this common ground of an understanding, because whether it is worldwide or not, this is a major problem in the current time.

Here is a little proof of man-made climate change to consider.
Blue sky vanishes after Beijing's big parade - CNN.com

The overall gist of the article is that in order to make their military parades and media propaganda videos seem more epic to the outside world (and they are indeed very epic), the Chinese government temporarily closes down factories and bans certain cars for a few days to a few weeks to get rid of the smog over Beijing. There is much about how their government works, its censorship, and so forth in the article.

I am more wanting to focus on the climate change aspect here. Underneath the political intrigues this shows as evidence there is a strong correlation between air pollution, or its reduction or elimination thereof, literally changing the localized climate. Furthermore it shows that the climate change issue is not beyond hope of fixing since it is possible for them to clear their skies of some of the worst pollution on earth within only a few days under strict emergency-like conditions. Supposing under more relaxed conditions, but still pushing towards the goal of ending pollution, it is therefore feasible for a big city around the size of Beijing to be more substantially cleaned up of air pollution and other malefactors that lead to negative climate change.

I think when folks start lying to gain political power and to make money...that its hard to be honest about an issue such as pollution when so many have tried to use it in a such a decepted way. The lie of global warming has been found out; now the same folks what to use the term climate change...?? Its still the same bunch of crooks...so no one should try to have a honest discussion with these people.

If you deny global warming then explain the melting polar ice caps, and how the U.S. and Russia are both racing to put military bases in the north where they could never before reach because of the ice that was once there:

The speech by former US Vice-President Al Gore was apocalyptic. ‘The North Polar ice cap is falling off a cliff,’ he said. ‘It could be completely gone in summer in as little as seven years. Seven years from now.’
Those comments came in 2007 as Mr Gore accepted the Nobel Peace Prize for his campaigning on climate change.
But seven years after his warning, The Mail on Sunday can reveal that, far from vanishing, the Arctic ice cap has expanded for the second year in succession – with a surge, depending on how you measure it, of between 43 and 63 per cent since 2012.

To put it another way, an area the size of Alaska, America’s biggest state, was open water two years ago, but is again now covered by ice.
The most widely used measurements of Arctic ice extent are the daily satellite readings issued by the US National Snow and Ice Data Center, which is co-funded by Nasa. These reveal that – while the long-term trend still shows a decline – last Monday, August 25, the area of the Arctic Ocean with at least 15 per cent ice cover was 5.62 million square kilometres.
This was the highest level recorded on that date since 2006 (see graph, right), and represents an increase of 1.71 million square kilometres over the past two years – an impressive 43 per cent.
Other figures from the Danish Meteorological Institute suggest that the growth has been even more dramatic. Using a different measure, the area with at least 30 per cent ice cover, these reveal a 63 per cent rise – from 2.7 million to 4.4 million square kilometres.

The satellite images published here are taken from a further authoritative source, the University of Illinois’s Cryosphere project.
They show that as well as becoming more extensive, the ice has grown more concentrated, with the purple areas – denoting regions where the ice pack is most dense – increasing markedly.
Crucially, the ice is also thicker, and therefore more resilient to future melting. Professor Andrew Shepherd, of Leeds University and University Coillege, London, an expert in climate satellite monitoring, said yesterday: ‘It is clear from the measurements we have collected that the Arctic sea ice has experienced a significant recovery in thickness over the past year.
‘It seems that an unusually cool summer in 2013 allowed more ice to survive through to last winter. This means that the Arctic sea ice pack is thicker and stronger than usual, and this should be taken into account when making predictions of its future extent.’

See the whole Global Warming thing is just a side argument either by giving an unproven theory for those that believe in it but can't prove it yet or for those that see it is a lie but fall in the trap of thinking that means climate change isn't real and so they just dismiss it. Even if Global Warming is unproven or disproven it should not be an excuse to ignore climate change.

Climate Change is real. I can show you almost endless examples. Here's a good video albeit US government propaganda on how the government observes the state of water quality. Perhaps one can see where they have a lot of problems and small holes in their approaches, but overall they do a good job trying to identify the fact there is the man-made pollution thus negative change to the climate. Also some good ideas of ways to try to fix or manage the problem overall.

What do you blame for the polar ice caps melting then that has allowed Russia and the U.S. to race one another to put military bases where they have not been able to before because of the ice that was once there ???
That article don't prove anything as it relates to ice melting ...that's all a hoax Kenneth... the gig is up !

show a current real study that shows the ice is melting ....

Your quick response shows you didn't even read it, and it is one of many that can easily be looked up about the arms race going on between the U.S. and Russia to put military bases in the North that they can only do now because of the ice caps melting. This race between us and them has been going on for 3+ years now !!!

Dude...Kenneth...you don't build a base on melted ice...that's called the ocean ...we have had military ice bases for many years now.

The race now is about ICE-BREAKERS!! Even obama realizes how undermatched we are against the Russian ICE BREAKING fleet. Ken, They need ICE BREAKERS BECAUSE there's ICE there! ALOT OF IT!

Go do the research for yourself instead of believing what faulty Republicans or sites that support Republican agenda's try to pass across.

The arms race in the north can easily be researched in a quick search, and the world news programs (all of them) have been reporting on this. Places in the North are now being reached by ships that could never be reached before, and because of that the race to put military bases there has begun.
