Are bikinis immodest?

Out of the heart, the mouth speaks. Only a guilty conscious would compel someone to proclaim, "I am not tempted to do (fill in the blank)." But having a guilty conscious doesn't make you guilty. It just proves you feel someone may think you are guilty. Because it's a defense statement.

Like God said to Adam, "Who told you that you were naked?" Adam felt guilty because he wandered away from God.
Adam answered, "I hid because I was afraid."

We try to hide our weaknesses because we don't want anyone to think we're guilty of something. But rest assured, not a one of us has anything in our flesh that is holy. We can't compare ourselves with ourselves. Our flesh was crucified with Christ. We now live with Jesus as the standard and by His Spirit dwelling within us walk according to his ways, not ours.

Why are many eastern countries, where a woman is required to keep her face and body covered and where casual sex is frowned upon, full of rape, adult men marrying children, sexual harassment, etc...?

There is only one reason why there is sexual sin: Our eyes ain't on Jesus.

So in answer to the OP, YES BIKINIS ARE IMMDOEST.

We should dress modestly no matter how the world dresses because we are to consider one another in love and not lead people into temptation.

Historically, lust and promiscuity seem to have thrived quite well through many centuries of virtual 'neck-to-knees'.

One example ... during WW2, when Australia and the UK were awash with "over-sexed, overpaid, over-here" Yanks,
heaps of modestly dressed local women were far from 'pure and virginal'.
Pregnancies were many and VD was a major problem.
And those women were hardly scantily clad ..... nothing to do with it.

Well, I will say that there is not even a microgram of a gay bone in my body.....probably one of the top despised sins on my list for sure......!

It depends on the bikini. I don't think there's anything wrong with showing belly button, but it shouldn't show cleavage or but cheeks. If I was still skinny I'd wear the first one, but now prefer the second one.

it is probably a shock to you to find out both are 'immoral'* if willingly chosen, unless nothing more is available.

Some people will get so ridiculous they will say women have to wear a box so you can't see their shape. Then they'll say no part of a woman can be seen at all. Then they'll say you can't wear a pink bow on your box indicating that you are female. Then they'll say women can't talk because their female voice is too sexy. Then the women will demand all the same for men, because everything about them is sexy to us women also. Then we will be a bunch of boxes walking around only able to text for communication. OR, why don't everyone just control themselves? Should I complain to the chocolate factory not to put chocolates in their window where I can see them, cause it tempts me? Ridiculous.
