God sees the end from the beginning. Man does not. Suffering is part of how God conforms the believer to the image of Jesus. -

I should have qualified my words a bit on this one too by the way. I believe the Holy Spirit sometimes delivers teaching in this way...

Suffering for the believer is purposeful, as well, and that is comforting to the suffering person.
