All very true. But if you make one order of anything, it will come on one plate. And then you can ask for an extra plate if you don't want to cross forks. Of course some people think it's a bit disgusting to share a plate, especially something like spaghetti; but meat in pieces probably wouldn't.

I don't generally think of any foods themselves as romantic or not, but rather the setting... such as a sitting by a pond on a blanket with some cheeses and wine. I suppose there could be a very foul smelling food that would dampen romance, but onions or garlic on the breath don't really...

Same here. I only have to meet my standards. I'll reuse a crumb plate. Or sometimes I quite wash off a crumb plate after I use it.
