It would say repentance for/into forgiveness of sins. Not Baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

Many of the oldest manuscripts have eis in them. The oldest we have is P75. P75 has eis in it. So, it would be incorrect to say that scripture does not say repentance for forgiveness of sins.

If Peter had commanded them to go submit to baptism that would have been an aorist imperative middle. But it wasn’t, it was an aorist imperative passive. So, it doesn’t seem like that is what he did.

It doesn’t seem to read that way in the original language. You should study the interlinear version and also the meaning of kolysai. The way verse 47 is rendered in Thayers Lexicon under the definition of kolysai is particularly interesting.
