    I am not afraid, that I made a mistake in past. Even tho I am not baptized, I always tried do be a good person. It's a huge step, because I am afraid to what happens afterwards. Either it will change everything, or it will change nothing. And I don't know what would be better.

    This helps a lot, thank you so much. So it's a little like meditation? You take your time and calm yourself. Good to know. When I think about trying to pray, i get a little nervous. It's a huge step for me.

    Thank you, for sharing your experience. The personal stories of the people here are helping me a lot to understand faith, so far more than the most psalms and bible verses do (even tho I know that they are important too). I understand now, that the connection to god is something very personal.

    Thank you, I like the idea of a personal prayer. But for beginners the"Our Father" should be right. It's a common prayer in Germany, too. It's called the "Vater unser" here.

    I like the chess comparison :D Praising him for the rising sun makes a lot of sense to me and I will keep that in mind. For me, the sun is a "touchable" symbol of the cosmic power that gave us life and the first step to a connection to god.
