Well I think it's time to talk about the 'prophetic' and all the internet 'prophets'

Yeah, we can certainly desire the greater gifts. "Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? 31But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way." But few talk about the increased responsibilities that come with them.

Well I think it's time to talk about the 'prophetic' and all the internet 'prophets'

Much of the problem arose from the celebrity culture adopted by the church. This was a carry-over from Roman and Greek mythology practices wherein commerce, city government, holy days, etc. were all influenced by their religions. I'm sure Rome isn't responsible for its inception, but venerating...

    My Last Ditch Effort

;) @Underd0g Thank you @Snackersmom I don't mind being examined by anyone. It's difficult to know his intent, but if @Underd0g disqualified me from something for believing in and operating in the gifts of the Spirit that's his prerogative. I only post what I know and how I live. I've helped...

    Gods Ten Commandments

@Inquisitor @Oncefallen See what they do? For example: Conveniently starting the passage late and ending it early to dodge what they don't believe. Let's look at the Romans passage as a whole: 8 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the...

    Gods Ten Commandments

Yeah, this is what the Judaizers always miss: life in the Spirit replaces life in the letter of the law. The greatest error comes from believing that "commandment" always means "those written on stone" and that "law" always means "those given at Sinai". Well, here is a commandment given that...

    Faith or Law?

Right. He was born as THE Son of God to save us from the curse of the law. And, while He was alive as Jesus the man, He was accountable to the statutes of the law. But then He died. And the law has not power over a dead man. Furthermore, He died for another - us - which surpassed the...

    Faith or Law?

It's a common practice for 7th Day Adventists to twist scripture to further their agenda. Like Judaizers who insisted that Gentile converts follow the law, they too, think they have special favor with God for keeping sacred one day out of 7, as if the Lord has not required our whole life to be...

    My Last Ditch Effort

Sounds nice. We have upper and lower ponds with a 7 foot sluice between them. The water falls into the lower pond. I relined it last year. My pump went out (5 years old) so I'll be replacing it this year. I almost filled it in. I'm glad I decided against it. Everyone who visits is drawn to it.

    My Last Ditch Effort

Ah, yes. We have a little decorative pond with a small waterfall in the front of the house. This year we are putting some little fishees in it. They can keep the frogs company. :)

    My Last Ditch Effort

Love it. They are already pairing up for the Spring. It's cute to see the males feed the females. Like, she's literally standing on the black oil sunflower seeds and he's like "Oh, let me get that for you, mon cheri...".

    My Last Ditch Effort

We could sit on my deck overlooking the creek that runs through our back yard. Once, I was sitting on the deck enjoying the singing birds (the Mrs. and I are birders) and the warm sun when a bald eagle flew over the house, skimmed the yard about 3 feet high, swooped into the creek to grab a...

    My Last Ditch Effort

I would gladly adopt you. :) My girls could never quote scriptures as well as their Baptist friends who memorized passages for stickers or their Charismatic friends who did so to avoid punishment They were raised to know the Father when they saw Him in their circumstances and in others. They...

    My Last Ditch Effort

This @Underd0g guy. I like him. I've been a pilgrim in a strange land for over 20 years now. Our family left the Sunday-boxes when our daughters were young. Heck, I no longer use the label "Christian" to describe my faith because it was originally used as a Roman pejorative for believers in...
