Oh wow! What type of tree or plant is that by your house? Is it the same as a palm tree here in America?

Hi KG. It does have palm tree like leaves, but it's a Yucca. I think they are native to Central America, and fairly prolific in Texas??? 🙂

Ahh yes I have heard of them. Never been to TX but made it to FL GA and AL. I do love the palm trees, and Spanish Moss.

Typical of cycads, they can have hard spikey tips. I usually de-tip them from about 6' down in case I have children visiting. This one has softer tips, but I clipped it's nails anyway, just in case. They could do really serious eye damage should someone stumble head first into them. They're a study, plant and forget type. 🙂
