A compilation of videos : Otters having fun

Stay kitties find their way to my door if I have a cat. Stray dogs find their way if I own a dog.
This would certainly break the routine having a stray otter to snuggle. Listen to that little happy voice.
"I want one!" :D
The quality is impressive. Haven't come across a video like that tbh.

In Sept I saw an otter in a freshwater spring at night. I thought it was a snake at first.

Right before that I coughed at the end of a long bridge because I was a bit creeped by some strange sound. Like a loud hissing/cough that mirrored mine. I literally took a few steps back on a high boardwalk. Turns out it was either that otter's mating call or a deer :p

 Anything just not something able to eat you.

Animals can make some very scary sounds and especially impacting on our nerves when they occur in the darkness.
You should hear the fox when they're in mating season. Sounds like a soundtrack for a horror movie. o_O

Yeah the thing is it was like dead silent and almost a new moon. I had been standing there for about 30 minutes just absorbing into the night and listening for far off sounds then HACK HACK whatever so close...first time in my life :p

I've seen otters on the river beyond when I've been kayaking alone. At first I thought it was an alligator, then a beaver, and oh cool an otter!

They are so mesmerizing to watch swimming. Reminds me of snakes somehow but not.

It was there the whole time you know. Whatever it was just decided to say "HI!" , in their way.
Likely it is because they get a kick watching our soul leave our body in wide eyed silent scream shock before it finds its way back into us. Been there heard and felt that.
Hey, soul jumping jack exercise is what I call it. Jump up and out, jump right back in again. Untold calories burned for the fear factor.
