love the old Fords....My cousin had one that had 390 in it....My first truck was a restored and embellished 57 F-100 with a juiced 289 under the hood and a 4 speed in the floor instead of a three on the tree......I was 18 and headed out the door to go to work at Mc. Cracks and my mom stopped me at the door to ask a question, had she not I would have been standing at the truck to get in when a flat bed diesel jacked knifed, came through the front yard and the trailer caught my truck from the drivers door to the end of the bed.......the guy had driven 20 plus hours and had fallen asleep.......One of about 10 times that death came knocking and I was not within it's grasp....
An old friend of mine (25 years back) had a similar Ranger, just not in as great condition. We were out off roading when we found out the T-case needed some adjusting. Headed down a very steep hill in 4 low the T-case popped into neutral which created a very tense couple of seconds.
