Rick, the literally millions of people who are devout Christians AND read Harry Potter disagree with you. You why no old people are agreeing with my side? Because everyone over 30 is too old to have enjoyed the books as children. It's like the older generation during Star Wars. Justin Martyr's First Apology Chapter 5 entwines the Logos with the concept of reason. His Second Apology Chapter eight does the same, it quite eloquently refers to the logos as the seeds of reason. His Dialogue with Trypho also mentions it, though only in passing.

I would not like that you wrote it but i would need to know the motive for doing so, But it's not in the nature of Jesus to judge others so i would hope i would not. I don't know for sure if hp is evil or not i just don't believe it is, but i also know arguing about it here isn't going to do anything. It doesn't effect me because i don't let it, my main focus is god not hp. It's like saying to a good pastor hey you like to eat and drink more than you should, so you must not be a good christian. You like to sin so you must not be a christiain. We all sin, and we wouldn't do it if we didn't like it. But we as christians put our faith in god and do not let sin be the focus of our lives.

Deputy headmaster\headmistress can be either gender, like in most modern schools. The school also has female headmasters (headmistresses) from time to time as well (including McGonagal herself). It does not fit the occult archetype you posted.

As far as 'logos' goes, of course that word was cemented into the greek language well before it's use
in the N.T.
But we are not to frame the Word of God in our reasoning minds - (the old definition).
We are to accept it.

The old definition? Scripture doesn't re-define the word, it uses it as ones reasoning mind many times. Even in John 1:1 it isn't as much a re-definition as it is a redirection of philosophies that already existed to apply to Christ.

God's Word is forever settled in heaven, it is not to be equivocated, dampered, philosophized, or maligned by the cogent-(or mad), minds of mankind. It is SETTLED. "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My Word will not pass away".
What we are to do is to "study to show ourselves approved, a workman needing not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth."

No his word won't pass away. But depending on how you mean settled it may be inaccurate. His Word is quite alive and flowing and not a still pool.

So to say I lack logic and therefore don't know Logos (the Word, - which is what you meant); is a very serious charge.

Okay i feel I need to explain what is going on here. First off, everyone here is standing firm in their beliefs. No one is going to budge, its like trying to get a stubborn donkey to follow you. Second, there are two kinds of posts here. One is simply to change someones minds, others here i feel just like to argue. Which is the whole reason this thread was made, have none of you noticed the only popular threads are ones that ppl argue in? This is no longer a debate ppls its a war, So knowing no one is going to change their minds why are we really posting on here? Is it not clear the devil loves dividing us? I notice ppl make threads that would be a popular debate subject but never respond to it at all, it just becomes a war zone. And everyone is getting worked up because ppl do not agree with them, All i am asking is for everyone to open their eyes here, I am going to go read my bible or something instead of wasting my time arguing about this. Star wars has ACTUAL new age references all over it, yet Rick's older generation of Christians by and large has no problem with it. Rick may object to star wars, but he alone is not the point.

He does, but its us who should be dividing us. The church needs a revival, and " A revival of religion presupposes a declension."

"A revival is nothing else than a new beginning of obedience to God." As such we need to find out what God actually wants of us. I would say what the anti-potter crowd is doing is adding to Gods law and expectations and creating a pointless millstone, and as such is not approaching true obedience. They of course would say the freedom is not true obedience.

And so we should be divided. The right side must win to have a revival.
