Ron Paul Revolution?

While there are many of Ron Paul's positions that I do like, as a Christian, I could never vote for him in good faith. If you research his past, especially his views considering Jews and other minorities, to the experienced eye it's pretty clear to tell what Ron Paul's religious background and views are despite his efforts to hide them. I believe that he has the potential of being a very dangerous man.
 
What views on Jews and minorities are you speaking of?

As far as his religious background, he's made no secret of the fact that he is Christian.
 
1: He doesn't support Israel.
2: he thinks Iran should be allowed nuclear weapons.
3: republican doesn't always mean right.. I know gay republicans, proabortion republicans, etc.. You gotta be careful not to side, remember we're not any political party as a Christian, but we ARE part of a KINGDOM THAT WILL NOT BE SHAKEN!(:

Just because they say they're christian doesn't mean anything.

but: I will say this.. Whoever becomes president is placed there by God.. Obama was not in Office because of Satan, he got his place of power because God had some kinda plan. Or.. It could be God saying "fine Americans, you wan't change so bad, take it." Lol. It's funny how people complain about him, especially when they voted for him, they got what they wanted.lol

Actually, he does. But to understand his support of Israel, you have to understand the shaky relationship we've had with Israel.

Actually, he doesn't think anybody should be allowed nuclear weapons and would like to see the end of nuclear weapons all-together.

His position is simply that nuclear Iran does NOT necessarily pose a threat to the U.S. - which is true, as Iran will not be attacking us any time in the next 20+ years.

I agree with you there :) Political parties are a sham. There are conservative Democrats and progressive Republicans, and vice versa. Nobody should vote because of the letter next to their name, but because of the policies they support.
 
Out of all the GOP candidates, I would choose Ron Paul. Politics are exacerbating... I am fiscally conservative but socially liberal and its hard to find a candidate that I completely align with. I do agree w/ Ron Paul on more issues than I can w/ the other GOP's, although there are definitely things that don't sit right w/ me.
 
I generally sit on the same line as you. I technically fall under Libertarian Centrist with a slight lean to the left. Moderate Libertarian Liberal. But my economics are totally conservative.

Out of curiosity, what positions of his don't sit right with you?

King Herod participated in God's plan, but not in a good way. The free will of man is God's plan, but with God's desire that it takes man to God, not to self destruction. When God put Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, I'm sure he would have preferred they never eat from the tree of knowledge but forever remain in his sanctifying grace. Just because Obama got in office, does not necessarily mean God wanted it that way but that the free will of man was allowed to go it's course.

Ron Paul is Pro-Drugs, Pro-terrorism, Pro-Gay Marriage and Anti-Israel, if he runs as a third party candidate he will effectively put the most Pro-Death leader, Obama, in office, and unfortunately I believe he is arrogant enough to do it. That makes him a very dangerous man.
 
Personally I don't care who they are as long as they're not Obama. But the fields looking pretty good, for the first time since Kennedy theres a good chance we might actually elect a Catholic president, and this time it won't be in spite of Evangelicals led by Billy Graham that the Catholic candidate gets elected.

As much as I support Ron Paul, I donated money to his 2008 candidacy, and to his son in Kentucky in 2010, but what you're doing here trying to further a political candidacy I'm not sure I can get behind at all.

Politics has it's place, but I wish you were here for more than that. I hope I am wrong as to your intents.
 
You are, but I don't blame you. I really should have posted other things first besides jumping right into politics...I'm a political person, what can I say XD

But that really wasn't my intent. I've actually been a member here before, about two years ago.

While I mostly align with Ron Paul on his foreign policies and economic strategies, I am not in agreement with how he feels about Roe v Wade being "...one of the most disastrous rulings of this century" (taken from official Ron Paul webpage). I am unabashedly pro-choice and I only posted this as a response to your specific question.

However, on both the issue of gay marriage and abortion, Ron Paul would leave it up for the states to decide, so I find that a good enough compromise, especially in comparison to the other candidates. I know these are touchy topics, I was just answering your specific question, and I'm not looking to debate anyone here on politics (like jimmydiggs said politics has its place), however I don't think this thread is too out of place... although I've only been a member for a day or two lol.

My advice to you is to search them out for yourself. The reason being is, if I tell you, you may dismiss what I have to say for whatever reason. However, if you do the research yourself, then you are more likely change your mind because you are more informed.

Ron Paul is a dangerous man. As I stated earlier, to the trained eye, it's obvious what beliefs he holds to. Yes, he might profess to be christian but not all 'christians' agree on certain matters of great importance.
 
He has shown signs of insanity In his past and many psychologist say he is probably not mentally healthy.

Considering the dismal state of our economy, national debt, and unemployment, perhaps we should concern ourselves with supporting our own citizens before electing politicians who donate billions to foreign countries. We have no financial obligation to Israel, nor for that matter any foreign nation.
 
I don't know how much of a revolution it is. He's raised millions in the last four years and still hasn't won a primary.

I mean if that's considered a revolution, then what's it considered of the candidates that actually win primaries and get elected?
