Pretty scary! Even though people have faith, they could fail in the end for not living in the gospel (living by another gospel, like OSAS).

““Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭21‬-‭23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

It's not scary.
You have to WANT to not live the "gospel life" as you put it.

You have to want to stay with Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to live in you.

It IS your choice.

I'm through responding to your rather, let's say DULL, posts.

Paul is saying that IF WE DENY JESUS
JESUS WILL DENY US.

And, apparently, you missed the verse just above that speaks about SALVATION.

For those reading along...

2 Timothy 2:10-12
10For this reason I endure all things for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus and with it eternal glory.

11It is a trustworthy statement:
For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him;

12If we endure, we will also reign with Him;
If we deny Him, He also will deny us;

So that they also MAY OBTAIN SALVATION
which is in Christ Jesus
and with it eternal glory

IF we endure we will also reign with Him.

If we DENY HIM
HE will ALSO DENY US.

What will happen if God denies us?

That's all you have in your arsenal? You have no solid backing for your groundless claims? My responses are dull because you can't handle proving otherwise? No need to read beyond that first couple of sentences given that you're just now willing to uphold your responsibility for evidence.

Oh well...

That is very telling. That's one way to tuck tail and run!

Falling from the faith means you are apostate.

IOW...one no longer has faith.

It requires faith to be saved.

And only God will judge who is saved and who is not.

But you can't seem to define what The Faith is from which one is falling to the point they have lost their salvation.

Do you think one who denies the Trinity is listening to lying spirits and has fallen from the faith hence has lost their salvation?

1 Timothy 4:1
Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,

I struggle to see how this passage is speaking of losing one's salvation when we see what it says in many places today. There are many Churches that have departed from the faith. Did they ever believe? The Gospel is quite specific for salvation.

When a sermon starts with one's pronouns, has that person ever understood and believed the Gospel of Christ or have they begun with the gospel of their own desire?

Do you think the Lord would leave things so "iffy" when our eternal destiny rests on being able to define what is the faith? Where is the cut off line?

I find it interesting how one can say only God knows who is saved while at the same time being quite adamant that one can lose their salvation while unable to define where is that point of loss. Very confusing.

Where are your verses proving we cannot lose our salvation?

Just as I thought....you don't have any.
All talk
No substance

And you come here to argue,
And put down persons.

Just like a true Christian?
Just like a man with honor?

Sad.

Stick to music.
Theology is not your forte.

Shock, horror!! 🤯

Allow? As if the Lord God needs your permission to do His work in you! Unbelievable.

1 Corinthians 6:20
For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

If you belong to Christ, the Lord will do His work in you either by giving you one heck of a spanking for your disobedience, or promotion for your faithfulness.

Well
Your post seems serious.
First time.
However my computer is closed down now and I'll reply in the morning.

You should know what the faith is.
Why do you need a cut off ine?
'Night

He does tell us in so many verses, warnings that you are obviously missing or disregarding; aptly the latter!!
And absolutely NONE say loss of salvation, eternal life or the Son was unsealed.

You folks cannot see the discipline of God. You just want to toss believers into the lake of fire.

At least He is willing that none perish. Thank God it's not up to the loss of salvation crowd........YOU would be the only one saved.

Didn't last long did it?
You must be a calvinist.

Won't be replying in the morning to your other post.

Go play with someone else.

The fact is, if we're repented and believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, we've already "given our permission", that is, we've submitted to His will for us.

Much love!

Why do you need a cut off ine?

Have you read the forums lately? To water baptism or not? To lose salvation or not? To replace Israel or not? I could keep going on but you get the point.

What do you have to stop counting as being true and how do you even do that if you believe it is true? It's enough to send one insane. ;)

Did you miss the "I never knew you" part?

LOL

You're assuming again.
That I won't be able to handle your verses.

You just can't help it.

Nope. That's not true. You mentioned no longer responding to me on the basis of your lame claim that my posts are dull.

Of COURSE they're dull...when you can't refute them...

Go figure.

I'm not a Calvinist and I'm not playing. Did you not read the scripture? The Holy Spirit does not abide in your body by means of your permission. You no longer own yourself, you belong to Christ.

Our bodies have been sealed for the Day of redemption. Get used to it. The Lord will discipline us as He sees fit and He remains whether you like it or not till the day of redemption.

Might last a bit longer if you weren't so quick to judge. ;)

It was the Lord God who decided how you would be saved and by what means. We never gave Him permission to do anything. If we have believed in Him we have simply agreed with Him that He is true to His word.

Aren't you a Christian?
1 John 5:13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
1 John 2:19~~They went out from us, but they were not really of us; for if they had been of us, they would have remained with us; but they went out, so that it would be evident that they all are not of us.

A believer who does not know they have eternal life will never stay with a doctrinal church/teacher, they will leave.

They are on the broad path, every wind will blow them......Saved as if through fire.
