Rome is most famous as being known as the city of seven hills but----------

So is Jerusalem

Does Jerusalem sit on the 7 Mountains?

Topographically, Jerusalem is not built ON a mountain. Rather, it is built IN the mountains, and the city is, in fact, surrounded by seven mountain peaks higher than itself.

The historic core of Jerusalem, specifically the Temple Mount, is situated on Mount Moriah. According to biblical tradition, this location is where King Solomon built the First Temple and where Abraham prepared to sacrifice Isaac. It is located in the Old City of Jerusalem.

Rome is traditionally built on and surrounded by seven distinct hills located east of the river Tiber, which formed the heart of the ancient city. These hills are the Palatine, Capitoline, Aventine, Caelian, Esquiline, Viminal, and Quirinal. (Google)

Jerusalem was sacked by the Romans in AD 70 and John would not be referring to Jerusalem.

Jerusalem had no trade to boast of.

No ports for ships.

Jerusalem had no power over anyone let alone kings.

No body from other countries mourned the desolation of Jerusalem in AD 70.

Jerusalem never had wealth or power to speak of.

True the earth is not a perfect sphere. This is why airplanes whose destination is on the other side the world don't fly perfectly straight from east to west or west to east. The distance at the equaror is actually lomger latitudinally is than longitudinally from pole to pole, north to south and vice versa.

When I have to fly to Asia from New York, the route goes through Canada and Alaska, skirt Russia (because we don't want to die!) and the first stop is Japan, then vice versa going back to the States.

Would you say your trip route fits somewhere between the straight line and the arc?

The two endpoints are New York and Tokyo.

1. Port of Haifa

The port of Haifa is along the Mediterranean coast. It is one of the largest and busiest port of Israel with the ability to handle large cargo volume and thousands of passengers.

I can only hope that you actually ready the OT passages that I have posted and recognize that the OT does, and MUST, validate and confirm the NT principle of the pre-trib rapture.
If you will go back through everything you posted and change every occurrence of 'tribulation' to 'wrath', you will have a consistent 'rapture before wrath' theme like you mentioned in a few of the posts. Now - you have a post-trib pre-wrath rapture.

See? You just needed to not confuse 'tribulation' with 'wrath' - which are not the same thing - nor do they [even] overlap in the End Times Scenario.

Order of Events (the short simple version):

[Great] Tribulation
Two Witnesses & Trumpets
Jesus appears
Resurrection & Rapture
Wrath of God

Oh and before I forget, the Church per se is NEVER MENTIONED beyond Revelation Chapter 4 verse 1....
Revelation 13:

7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. 9 If any man have an ear, let him hear. 10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Revelation 14:

12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Israel has 8 major ports

2. Ashdod Port
Ashdod-Port-1.png

Located along the Mediterranean coast, Ashdod Port is relatively new to the shipping trade. It is the latest deep-water port in Israel and has been equipped with modern cargo-handling equipment to cater to the ever-expanding global shipping.
Goods handled in this port include containers, vehicles, bulk cargo, various industrial raw materials, and perishable goods. Additionally, it handles massive volumes of food imports and manufactured goods from Israel for export.
The Port of Ashdod plays a major role in both the central and southern Israel trade since it directly links the industries to international trade routes. It is one of the busiest and most efficient ports in the region thanks to the state-of-the-art facilities. The port reduces congestion in Haifa and raises Israel’s reputation as a global hub for shipping trade.

No posttriibber wants to tell the poor misguided pretribber what one verse means? Come on you can do it...
Hebrews 9:

28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

It means that Jesus has already paid the price - and, when He returns - at His second coming - the 'Second Coming of Christ' - when He "shall appear the second time" - there will be a resurrection and rapture - at which point, the salvation of saints will be complete.

Gary, how is the Linux experience? That's probably the way to go. Seems like all other operating systems want to take your finger print, iris scan, blood sample, sell your data, and sell your first born, before they let you use their software.

I was thinking about going all apple in a couple years, when my Windows 10 PC is no longer compatible, but know Linux is the better choice, just worried that their is a lack software support, or if this software is compatible when need be.

Oh no, not pancake earth again. lol. You do know that airplane paths don't work on Flat Earth, did I need to sick on Professor Dave on you again? lol

Anyways, glad to see you're not buying this pretrib rapture non-sense.

Notice how post-tribbers deny the saving grace of Faith and the scriptures! Because the Goats did no good works they entered eternal punishment.

Titus 3:5
He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 10:9
Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Ephesians 2:8
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.

Acts 16:31
And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Romans 10:13
For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Nowhere in the Bible does it indicate this - nor does it need to - the ones taken are with Jesus in the air...
Amen to that!
We agree.
Postrib doctrine however insists the setting is different.
Those taken, in mat 24, are taken in a pretrib setting , not your postrib setting.
That is WHY the postrib workbook needs the "one taken" to be "the wicked taken", which in no way fits anything.
Plain bizarre.

I can't see your logic in placing the rapture in the wrong setting.
Way off my friend

Maybe one of you pretribbers can help me to unpack this verse.

Now if I am wrong as a pre tribber then I am misunderstanding this verse and am confused about what it means.

Kinda, what's that mean?
Any other pre tribber? We all know that scripture has to agree with all scripture.
1..the rapture does not deal with sin.
2..postribbers are not eagerly awaiting. In fact, they have numerous reasons, they passionately, are not.

1..the rapture does not deal with sin.

Yes sir Brother. Does not deal with Sin, so this is no Judgment coming. Jesus makes a special trip for His Bride. In the air and He will not touch the ground.

From the post tribbers tone it's almost like they think we are doing some sort of bad or evil thing by believing in a pre trib rapture. I just checked and it's overcast so the rapture can still happen today! Maybe. So what evil have I done? Well it's like you say, they are not eagerly awaiting Jesus's return! Pre tribbers do!

Coming of the Son of Man

Matthew 24:37 As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man. 38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, 39 and they did not know until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of man.

What a happy bunch of people

Does this sound like a time of Peace and not the Tribulation?

Luke 17:28 Likewise as it was in the days of Lot—they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built, 29 but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom fire and sulphur rained from heaven and destroyed them all— 30 so will it be on the day when the Son of man is revealed.

"So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation." (Hebrews_9:28 AV)

Maybe one of you pretribbers can help me to unpack this verse.
Precious friend @Edward429451, have you considered "Right Division" to help unpack it?:

In God's Context Of Prophecy, For Israel:

Christ "The King's" 'prophesied' Second Coming to earth For His people Israel, is "not
to deal with sin [ The Penalty Already Dealt With At The Cross ] again, but to bring
complete salvation to those [ Israel/nations in Great Trib ] waiting for Him."

Biblical Confirmation preached to Jews (aka Hebrews)?:

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out,
when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of The Lord;”
(Acts 3:19 AV)

Rightly Divided (2 Timothy 2:15 AV) From “Things That Differ!” (online):

In God's Other Context Of Mystery For us, His Body [ no Jew or Gentile! ] Of Christ:

1) we are Already Forgiven:

"In Whom we Have Redemption Through His BLOOD, The Forgiveness of sins,
According To The Riches Of His Grace;" (Ephesians 1:7 cp Colossians 1:14 AV)

2) At our Pre-Trib God's Great GRACE Departure, The Head of the church, Taking us To Heaven,
we will "Be Judged" Not for sin, but for "the works we did" for rewards or lack thereof

Hope this helps...

And, precious friend(s), Please Be Very Richly Encouraged and Edified
In The Lord Jesus Christ and In His Precious Word Of Truth, Rightly
Divided:

The Bible: The BIG Picture

I looked up seven year tribulation period and I could not find it anywhere in the Bible.

---------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure how savvy you are with prophecy but comes from the 70 weeks of Daniel 9.

27 And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week; and for half of the week he shall cause sacrifice and offering to cease; and upon the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator.”

1 week ( of years ) === 7 years

One thing most dont debate

Wish to add

This prophecy does not appear to have anything to do with the dead in Christ but the living only.

Just as the Lord said as in the days of Noah and Lot , it shall be again

But as the rapture ( catching up ) happens, the judgement begins ( Tribulation )

One more thing----one will be taken, one left

I count about 4 Billion taken---------4 Billion left behind
