Keep in mind, it was impossible for booze to be served as the Last Supper.

The Mosaic Law required that all things associated with fermentation - baked
goods, yeast, AND GRAPE JUICE THAT HAD TURNED INTO BOOZE had to be removed from
their midst in preparation for the Passover, on which the Last Supper fell -

Because the sun had set by the time they were eating and drinking which means
Thursday was over and Friday had come. Any Christian worth his salt knows Jesus
was taken into custody after the Last Supper, spent the night, the morning, and
afternoon in jail, before covetous Jew farce trials, and then was crucified before
the sun set and Friday would turn into Sabbath.

“Although drunkenness is a serious sin, it is not the only reason to abstain from alcohol. Indeed, there are some twenty reasons listed for abstaining from intoxicants in the Bible:

1. It slows the thinking process (Proverbs 31:4–5).
2. It makes one dizzy (Job 12:25).
3. It is associated with self-centeredness (Hab. 2:5).
4. It causes sickness (Jer. 25:27).
5. It causes forgetfulness (Prov. 31:6–7).
6. It produces delirious dreams (Prov. 23:33).
7. It results in sleepiness (Gen. 9:20–25).
8. It produces complacence and laziness (Zeph. 1:12).
9. It numbs one’s feelings (Prov 23:31–35).
10. It leads to poverty (Prov 21:17).
11. It leads to brokenness (Jer. 23:9).
12. It results in sadness and depression (Isa. 16:9–10).
13. It causes sorrow (Prov. 23:29–30).
14. It produces blackouts (Gen. 19:33–35).
15. It leads to immorality (Joel 3:3).
16. It encourages sexual perversion (Hab. 2:15).
17. It results in guilt (Isa. 24:20).
18. It causes injuries (Prov. 23:35).
19. It can result in insanity (Jer. 51:7).
20. It makes one vulnerable to his enemies (1 Sam. 13:28)”

Wine nor Strong Drink

The Word is saying wine is different from "strong drink"
which has to be a reference to alcohol content

Luke 1:15
For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.

Ephesians 5:18
And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit

Romans 13:13
Let us behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy

1 Peter 4:3
For the time already past is sufficient for you to have carried out the desire of the Gentiles, having pursued a course of sensuality, lusts, drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties and abominable idolatries.

Galatians 5:21
envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Luke 21:34
Be on guard, so that your hearts will not be weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that day will not come on you suddenly like a trap

OT Scriptures

Isaiah 5:11
Woe to those who rise early in the morning that they may pursue strong drink,
Who stay up late in the evening that wine may inflame them!

Habakkuk 2:15
Woe to you who make your neighbors drink,
Who mix in your venom even to make them drunk
So as to look on their nakedness!

Proverbs 20:1
Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler,
And whoever is intoxicated by it is not wise

I bought 2 two gallon jars to make it when I get around to it.
I'm probably going to ferment vegetables before I try it, when I can find a real good sale.

I'm not the one to ask on the process, but there are a lot of YouTube videos on it. I was considering selling a neighbor's brand of non-alcoholic kombucha before setbacks. I spoke to the owner and his chemist at length.
It's an interesting process.
He planned to eventually get a state liquor license for brewing so he can sell an alcohol version of it.

That's neat that you made that too! 🥤🙂👍
Dad and my uncle did use the method you mentioned.
The glass jars make it easy compared to the likely less consistent methods of ancient times before manufacturing.
All that they needed were sterile sealed containers and boiled juice for long term storage.

Nice! My brother has done some cucumber fermenting during peak harvest here at the farm. Our fridge was packed with jars for a while lol. It only takes a few vines to give you way more cukes than you'd want to eat.

My sister has made kombucha too. I looked into the non-alcoholic version like you suggested. 🙂 There's definitely ways to limit the alcohol but it looks like they're just aiming for low levels. Less than half a percent is legally considered non-alcoholic, so I guess that's why I never get carded for buying it, I had wondered about that. 🤔

I've looked into ancient heat-preserving methods and haven't come up with much of anything until the late 1800s, when heat-resistant glass was invented and pasteurization was "officially" discovered 🤔. I am genuinely curious if you or anyone else here knows of any actual attempts (ancient or modern) to heat-preserve grape juice using the materials available during Jesus' time?

I'm not being argumentative, I am truly curious... I have heard some insist it was possible, and maybe it was... but nobody has ever proven it, and the method was never described in the Bible (unlike fermentation, which was mentioned often and Jesus even used it in parables relating to the Holy Spirit).

I am also curious why this incredibly valuable knowledge of food preservation (very important and commercially viable topic!) would have been lost between Jesus' time and the 1800s 🤔

Again, not trying to argue, just curious what you can share 🙂

And the Lord does not instruct his people to drink alcohol so there goes that excuse out the window
Fun fact the Bible doesn’t instruct us to brush our teeth or wear shoes. I still do both. Why do I do it? Cause I can and the Bible doesn’t tell me not to.

Can you give us a verse reference where this "Mosaic Law" is found?

Leavened grain products (and leavening itself) were indeed banned during passover, but I found zero references to wine, which was not imparted with leavening per se; the invisible yeasts growing on the skins of the grapes are what caused the fermentation.

Side note: thank you for the above post, it's nice to see you trying to actually engage in the discussion rather than just telling us we are going to hell! 🔥 I mean, you are definitely doing that as well but it was good to see you at least attempt a halfway respectful discussion, for that I am proud of you! 🏆😎👍

Another side note.... are you the former member called StantheMan? Your style and use of emojis is very similar 🤔. Anyways, if so, I have been praying for your marriage and I hope that yall are doing better! 💗

You’re spot on, well said!!

This is why I say food and drink are the same thing, you just have to know yourself. Thank you Lord for both food and drink!!
The elders at my Church have advised me not to drink any alcohol at all, because of my history as a heavy daily drinker. They did make an exception, for special occasions where I can have a glass of wine or champagne, but no spirits.
Overeating is also a sin, as with all sin there are always serious consequences. We're supposed to posses our vessels and exercise discipline to keep ourselves from temptation. Job made a pact with his eyes, he would not allow his eyes to look at attractive young women.

Romans 6:15
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.

God forbid, by my trust to God it is done for all in that one time death he took away sin for me, and all others also. To presently, daily go to Father at the throne of grace to hear truth over error, directly from Father, Daddy, PaPa and love all in the same mercy and Truth given by Son Jesus first. Done thank you Father and Son! John 19:30
Love, through God's love given through Jesus first in the flesh. Who won for us all to trust Daddy, Father, PaPa all in all.
Then one will be too busy praising Father and Son, where there is no more time to be aware of any sin at all. And will probably not sin, since are now only in praise to God in the same love and mercy of Son first John 13:34, thanks

Politically motivated point from the Left, I’m sure! Even God tells us to drink a little wine for health…..

-"No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities."
I Timothy 5:23 NKJV[/QUOTE}
You win for dumbest comment on the internet of the day.
Presenting an idea based on medical research isn't about being left or right.

The Bible doesn't tell you to drink booze either so cut it out!

Cool so we can all go live in sin and still be saved, right?

On this issue at least these are wise elders.

I Timothy 5:23 NKJV

That was what Paul said to Timothy to use it for medicinal purposes and this was not a commandment for the entire Body of Christ not to mention you cannot prove Paul was telling Timothy to drink a little fermented wine (wine with alcohol content)

The fruit of the vine does have health benefits until it becomes fermented and has alcohol in it at which point it becomes very unhealthy for the body.

You can get the benefits of grapes without the alcohol. I actually take a daily supplement made from the fruit of the vine but it contains no alcohol

Resveratrol and grape seed extract are both derived from grapes but have different properties and benefits. Resveratrol is primarily found in the skin of grapes and is known for its antioxidant effects, while grape seed extract comes from the seeds and is rich in proanthocyanidins, which may support heart health and blood pressure management.

Besides, it's to the left's advantage that everyone be drunk and stoned so they can influence people more easily.

Nobody is condoning drunkenness.
Yeah, they just like to "get their buzz on"

Most claiming they don't get drunk define being drunk and someone who badly slurs their speech and can barely walk.

They think getting a little buzz is not being drunk and they love it so.

Alcohol is one of the biggest health destroyers out there.
Drinking in moderation was recommended as a positive health habit for several decades.
It's now considered a myth by many researchers.

Exactly.

Brother I’ve been sober for 4+ years. The big question is why you have such an obsession over other people drinking. Many times an obsession over someone else’s actions stems from jealousy. Could it be that you aren’t able to drink for whatever reason and are jealous that others get to? Or does it stem from pride and self righteousness? It could also just be sign of immaturity instead of holiness. Either way I suggest you study Gal 6:1 and work on your delivery.

as Father views noone better than anyone else so, Higher Gospel their is no higher Gospel than Son as risen for us all to believe it or not
and learn new in trust to Daddy, Father, PaPa. everyone in different growth stages unto maturity

Not from Father's new view in Son for us to learn to let go of sin by his done work of Son.
So Romans 12:2, time to renew the mind to see from Father's view through Son for us all. Oh, wait that will not happen until one, anyone is given the new heart offered in risen Son from Father as told of in Ezekiel 36:26. to see Micah 6:7-9 wait and see Psalm 103:12 as fulfilled in Son for us all to turn a new leaf over and see new in love and mercy too though Father and Son too
I see when he yelled It is finished John 19:30 that had to get done first, before any new life could happen to anyone by his resurrection, thank you Father.

Totally... it's like he can't even understand the concept of moderation or self-control, I'm kinda worried about him 😬.

Continue thank you for willingly seeing this truth from God for you in you and through you

Nomoffense God is working on him also, I am still in process always, even if I have stopped sin. It assuredly has never gotten done by me. Only in the down work of Son has it and continuing working it out through me, God teaching me, and woe is me Isaiah 6:1-7

I'm sure God is working on him but I worry if he's listening.... not seeing much fruit of the Spirit coming from him, yet he's trying to teach.... God said to look put for those. 😬

As a side note, I'm really glad that you and others like @tourist and @Just_A__Follower are taking your sobriety seriously. I applaud your abstinence and I think it is very wise!

Perhaps @HigherGospel has had the same issues with overindulgence, in which case I'm glad he abstains. But he can't seem to fathom that some of us can drink a few ounces of wine with dinner and have no desire for more 🤷‍♀️
