The initiation of the prophecy occurred 1st century, yes, I can see that. However, the cross reference of Luke 13:31-35 facilitates a broader view of the culmination of it. That is, is there a distinct time that Jerusalem has ever said, "Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord."?
I agree that prophecy has multiple applications, but all the promises of God are in Christ. I take this to mean that their ultimate fulfillment is in Him. To extend this thought, Jesus coming into the world is the time of their primary and final fulfillment.

Having said that, the fulfillment always comes definitively with the life, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. They continue to grow fuller progressively, and find their culmination when Jesus comes in final judgment.

Jesus was welcomed into Jerusalem triumphantly on what we celebrate as Palm Sunday. Matthew 21:9 records the people saying...Hosanna. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.

I am not the one to show you your errors.

You need to find a solid pastor who knows what he is doing...
Then sit in a pew and listen in privacy and learn what you have been failing to see.

So you just say I don't have a clue and full of insults.

You can think anything you like.

Matthew 7:3-5
King James Version
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

YOU SHOULD WORRY ABOUT YOURSELF.

Look at the verses posted in posted #5140. Tell me if you believe Paul is telling his audience that some of them will be alive and caught up with Jesus in the air.

You believe it, whether Paul believed it, you can only assume. Should we say Isaiah believed that the son born to "us" was at that actual time he spoke of it?

Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Or...he is talking about the 1st century and meant the very people he was writing to.

In Matthew 23:36, is Jesus saying all the things he mentions will come upon that generation. Does He mean they will occur 1st century?

We shouldn't be focusing on His return. We should be focusing on building His kingdom. He will return, but it will not be anytime soon.

What do you believe the book of Revelation is about? When in time is referring to?

Past present and future.

You say he will return in reference to Jesus. In order for us to be in the millennium kingdom He would of had to already return.

Right. And He has.

Read Revelation 1:1-7. There are 3 phrases in the 1st 7 verses that speak of the imminency of the prophecy. Can you pick them out?

The big problem with that is?

"Millennium" means what?
1000 years.

How long did you say he has been reigning?

We've been over this before. Millennium isn't in the Bible. A thousand year period is employed. The 1000 years isn't literal. 1000 is simply a large number depicting a long period of time. The Bible also says God owns a cattle on a 1000 hills. Does God own exactly 1000 hills, or is the number used to depict a large amount?

This, Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem, is recorded two chapters earlier of Matthew 23:39, where he tells them they will not see him again until they say blessed is He. So, if indeed that they said it upon His entry into Jerusalem spared them from desolation, why then was Jerusalem desolated?

Do you think we have to be reborn?

If so how does that happen?

Hearing the gospel (receiving the Word), which is mixed with faith, that is the moment of the conception of the new creation. From thence forward, we are carried from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord (2Cor3:18).

A good point. But if the events spoken of were 1st century, it would likely have occurred around the time of the fall of Jerusalem.

That I can see. I think it's His "see me again" that is the juncture of our divergence. You don't expect to see Him again, ever at all, again, in Jerusalem?

I wanted others to see what you do.

You rationalize it away to make your false doctrine work... if you could. Why?

Not sure. And that answer would take a long explanation.

Go ahead and answer. Are both literal? Both symbolic? Or one one way and the other another to fit your purposes? I'm not rationalizing. I'm comparing scripture with scripture. You are the one who isn't consistent with your reasoning.

You are free to believe whatever you want.

Of course. Jesus said, "I am the Light...," and I'm walking in the Light.

You have a good day, think on this when you stand in front of JESUS HE will be judging you with HIS rule book not your personal thoughts.

If not reborn, believe, repent, get baptized in JESUS name to REMOVE your sins and pray for JESUS to fill you with the Holy Ghost like HE did HIS disciples in Acts 2:4 you are hell bound. John 3:5 Acts 2:38.

Best of luck.

The first message preached and the first people to be reborn after JESUS assecndded.

Acts 2:37-41
King James Version
37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Does that line up with your thinking?

What is your thoughts about HIS word says?

You said this of Genez after asking if he had been one of your inmates. Did you not care for any of them to even remember if one was ever under your charge (i.e. care)?

I pretend to be interested in my line of thinking about what HIS word says, even of which I have already thrown light on.
I think you walk in darkness. 1Jn 1:6
