I think it is relevant, maybe he had a warrant for his arrest. Perhaps you should have thought before you compared him to a college student.

As usual HeisHere is smearing the US at every opportunity. The official statement says this man that was killed was an illegal alien wanted for a violent assault and he had an illegal firearm on him. They also said he was shot while resisting arrest. From the video you can see he was resisting arrest. They also claim he had the gun in his hand when he approached the officers and had two magazines on him.

This doesn't mean that this was a justified shooting, it might not have been, I don't know. But it does mean comparing this to the shooting at Kent State is an ugly lie.
