Even California is cheaper than these European countries where they pay like 2-5 Euros for a liter of gas but the Norwegian guy won’t understand this either.
Mainly for two reasons. First is because he’s programmed and second is because he doesn’t speak English.

What you said there is what we in Norway call "Hersketeknikk". Loosely translated into "Rule technique". It's a cheap and dirty rhetorlical trick, in order to make someone "smaller" than yourself. It's the oldest trick in the book, and easily revealed. Typically, these kind of old tricks are used by persons who have weak arguments, trying to boost their weak arguments using these dirty tricks. It may also be used by persons lacking self-consciousness, even into a diagnosis like personality disorder or even psychosis.

Easy to use, and easy to reveal.

If I was living quietly and happily and someone wanted to evict me from my own home, I'd get upset too. That other presidents wanted to do something does not make Mr Trump right. His reasoning is specious. He is no better than Putin, who also uses false premises to attack Ukraine.

What people do with their own country is their own business. Decent people do not resort to bullying and blackmail to get their own way. Mr Trump is acting like a petulant toddler who can't get his own way.

Mr Trump has done some very good things. But he risks ruining his legacy. That's a shame. People are far more likely to remember the bad than the good. Hitler did some good things such as the best road system in Europe. That counts for nothing when people think of him.

Why is anyone surprised. Former allies are headed for the exits. Mr Trump has bullied, bluffed and blackmailed many nations that were once friendly. He's mad at Norway. Why? Because he did not get the Nobel prize. And Mr Trump's friends call this negotiation. I worked for someone like that. If I'd had a decent option, I would have quit. Married with 4 kids made that not an option. Only tiddler countries like Australia are sticking with America. You don't treat the leaders of sovereign nations like naughty children. Or if you do, expect consequences.

It's also because a large percentage of Norwegians drive electric vehicles. They really don't care about fuel prices. Norway has large oil reserves, so they don't really care what the rest of the world pays. In fact, the higher the price, the better - for Norway.

So if Norway wants to play Switzerland, why do they speak like the Germans who are forced by the state to pay for their government TV channel in every home?

Why don’t they speak freely, independently and uninfluenced like the Swiss who couldn’t care less about EU laws or U.S. laws?

What are your thoughts on that?

Hard to call someone an “ally” when they’re double dipping to begin with.

Best to call it for what it is. every country has their own interests.
