If gentiles could not touch the Ark, then why didn’t God kill the Philistines who carried it about for 3 months from city to city, placed it on a cart and looked into it? How did THEY escape death? Why were THEY not killed?
I am agreeing with you that the Jews could not touch it—because God gave them instructions and warnings about it. But God did not give the philistines any instructions or warnings about how to handle the Ark. Donyou think they carried it by sliding “poles” into the rings on the sides as God instructed the Jews to do? How would they have known to do that? And did only their priests carry it? Their priests were worshippers of Dagon—an idol; surely God would not have allowed that! And what about when they placed offerings in it? Do you think they touched it then? How did they get the offerings in it without looking in it or touching it? How would they have known not to touch it or look into it? Is there a scripture somewhere that tells us this? Yet God did not strike them dead. Can you tell me WHY GOD DID NOT KILL THE PHILISTINE GENTILES WHO HANDLED HIS ARK? That is the point.
You do not need to prove to me that Jews could not touch the ark—I agree with you on that. Just tell me —with scripture—WHY GENTILES COUOD NOT TOUCH THE ARK. Specifically, the Philistines in 1 Samuel.
God’s command that only certain Levites were assigned to carry the ark, and even they must not touch them directly Num 4:15
There was no rule of Jews or Gentiles could touch the ark, no one could touch the ark, but only authorized Levites could carry it. They were the only ordained priests.
God doesn't always make judgement instantaneously, but the Philistines were judged. God's hand did strike the Philistines while the ark was amoung them.
- the ark is brought into Dagons temple and and the Dagon falls before the ark and is shattered.
1 Sam 5:1 Then the Philistines took the ark of God and brought it from Ebenezer to Ashdod. 2 When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon[
a] and set it by Dagon. 3 And when the people of Ashdod arose early in the morning, there was Dagon
, fallen on its face to the earth before the ark of the Lord. So they took Dagon and set it in its place again. 4 And when they arose early the next morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the ground before the ark of the Lord.
The head of Dagon and both the palms of its hands were broken off on the threshold; only [b]Dagon’s torso was left of it. 5 Therefore neither the priests of Dagon nor any who come into Dagon’s house tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod to this day.

But the hand of the Lord was heavy on the people of Ashdod, and He ravaged them and struck them with tumors,[

both Ashdod and its territory.
Some did die... 1 Sam 5:11-12
Scripture says no one could touch the ark, which would include Gentiles. Num4:15
