So here’s another tough one. Since Adam and Eve were the first people I have two theories and just interested if y’all have more. Mine are
1. Adam and Eve eventually end up sleeping with their kids?
2. Fallen angels were sleeping with some of them?
Or both?

Back then there was no curse for incest and no complications for it.

Might as well say no incest.

Adam and Eve did not have to have sex with their children for their offspring could have sex with each other.

I would say more than likely they did not have sex with their children.

Also just because Adam and Eve were ousted from the garden does not mean they went off the deep end being very wicked.

They were still following God especially when they knew for a fact He was real.

And Eve said I have gotten a man from the LORD.

And Cain and Abel gave an offering unto the LORD.

So Adam and Eve probably honored marriage and vowed to each other.

Probably as well as most of them.

And considering the fallen angels that some people believe they had sex.

I do not believe they did for how could it be possible if they are spirit.

But I believe they influenced the men and worked through them causing them to take on many wives in wickedness and corrupting mankind to be very wicked by their influence.

Gen 20:11 And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife's sake.
Gen 20:12 And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.

Incest was not a problem here for Sarah was the half sister of him both having the same father.

But in Leviticus it prohibits incest.

So it was probably alright until the law was given.

And then complications came about with children from incest.

I agree with this - except to raise 'I would say more than likely' to the level of 'I am completely convinced that'.

Consider:

Jude 1:

6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

It's not to be assumed that habitation means body because it's not conclusive that they even have bodies. The most reasonable, non-fantasitical interpretation for habitation is heaven, their rightful abode.

Hey appreciate the comment I have a few thoughts on what you said. Considering the fallen angels read genesis 6:4 it talks about fallen angels laying with the women and then having nephilim or “GIants” I believe along the same lines of Goliath. And incest this is where my head gets wrapped up. So God made the law and In Leviticus it was written. The part in my mind that turns is that if it was wrong in Leviticus it was always wrong. Cain murdered Abel but because it wasn’t written yet doesn’t mean it was right. The Bible mentions a lot of things in the OT like your Abraham and Sarah example but that doesn’t mean that He was pleased with it. But but maybe you have some scripture to back it up. Ty God bless.

Well, being the only two people, yet there were others. What? Obviously sex allowed, to have children, without that no one would be here presently would they? God rested on the seventh day, and saw all as good. We the people do not understand, nor have to. Yet, people want and think they need to, as troubles get into many over this, to me anyways, not well for my Soul. I stand in trust to God not myself or others either, is best for me, I can not be anyone else.

Genesis 4 does not tell us the name of the woman Cane married and had children from her and so on it all goes forward. Had to be a Niece, Cousin. Even in the time of lot, the Daughters had sex with Lot, (Not for sexual relief, as is done today) For Children to be born since Mom now gone, and even tricked dad, Lot to get children and not lose the lineage.
Yes, a relative, A niece, cousin, whatever, however this intermarriage happened until and was not thought of as gross, not that it is today, and then not as people use, excuse and make things just in their own views, to excuse their mistakes and condemn others Along the way.
Marrying close relatives, like sisters or nieces, was common in early humanity; prohibitions against it came later with Moses' Law (Leviticus 18). Incest became a common thing as well, so God put in place what is good for us and what is not, yet people still have reprobate mindsets. As Law to. not do, enhances flesh to do what one is told not to do, rebellion of the first born flesh. That is in need to be born new by God for them, not ever against anyone as is thought is by flesh and blood, not born new yet, if ever will be, each have this choice to make consciously. Willingly not forcefully. thank you Father for the free choice to choose

As far as the fallen Angels goes, This is expressed in Genesis 6 And the Nephilim, children that were born out of the women there then, where these fallen Angels that had sex with the women. How, this happened, I do not know. It is just stated and not how, yet did happen
I personally do not need to know. I do trust God and thank God for stopping this from happening, and took care of it for people's sake.
There were Giants in those days, with great power, and we see the stories of the Greek God's do we not?
Then we see David, who slew Goliath. He slung the rock out of his slingshot and said to Goliath
Go-Liath down
God is always and has always been stronger than any double-edged sword. Has continued to love us all.
Then the flood of Noah's time came, that stopped the troubles off the Fallen angels that was happening then. Which stopped the lineage of the first two children born Cane and Abel
End of Genesis 4, Seth came into play
Yet the Nephilim continued in the DNA of the three Son's through the wives, that I conjecture had Nephilim DNA in them that has dwindled down less and less over the years
God seriously loves us all, his creation to sincerely love and not harm others anymore. Left us all to choose to decide to trust God Father or not. Then Son the One the Won for us to be viewed from God as if never once sinned, so we can enter in and be new in love and mercy to all too.
Col 1:21-22, then verse 23 continue in belief to see and stand, even in troubles here on earth going on still
Turn and not burn, seeing new from Father's view by Son for us first
We love because God first loved us. Proven in risen Son
Thanks

in the beginning & a bit after, God allowed family to procreate with family to populate the earth. it was NOT sin then. then after the flood, God still allowed it because the Bible says that Noah's sons & daughters united to populate the earth again. these relationships still WERE NOT SIN. Noah's family, 8 in all, were the only people alive on the whole earth at that time.

1. There is no evidence for that. What is the practical reason for banning incest between siblings, and would those reasons apply within the first ten or twenty generations coming from two parents with perfect genes?

2. There is no reason to infer that angels taking women for themselves, and angels going in to women, and women bearing children for angels, mean the angels were having sex with women.

Which, wipes all else out prior, now we see the lineage of Seth, thanks

Cousins are the offspring of your parents' siblings. Adam and Eve had no siblings. Therefore, Cain had no cousins .:geek::)

Okay, where then did the others come from?
Genesis 4 I have read in other versions, Cane went over the hill and married another. Does not say where she came from or how she got there, a perplexity in God's mysterious ways, that I stand in trust to God over it all
Father knows and we all try to know, and only Father knows. So, thank you, however. all that got wiped out in the flood of Noah right, if not okay as well thank you for your shares in care to all as well

Eve is the mother of all the living. So Cain married a niece or grand niece, great grand niece etc. He had
no cousins because Adam and Eve had no siblings, which would have been Cain's aunts and uncles had
they existed, and their children his cousins. Right? Anyways, we do not know the age of Cain when he
wed, but there could have been a lot of people by then, and they would have naturally spread out into
surrounding areas, including to Nod, where he "knew" his wife when she conceived and bore Enoch.
Note that the text does not say he met her there or married her there (some people assume that).

Adam and Eve slept with their kids?

There are literally no roads to get there except ones created by perverted minds.

The book of Genesis is an incomplete timeline that only highlights pertinent information so that we can know what brings us closer to God and how we are corrupted at birth with sin.

And as the timeline and law of exponential growth are obviously in force....
By the time Cain slew Abel there were 20,000 people around.

That's with adulthood being at 13.
And then we have things like twins, and an extremely Fertile population blessed by God to reproduce. We have things like 2nd and third cousins running around inside of 45 years. (Married off at your 13th birthday was likely a thing)

Abraham married his half sister....
Lot's wife wasn't as close to either of them. Notice in THAT story how the cities and marauders wanted the PEOPLE....same thing in Job....same with Egypt buying slaves in Joseph narrative but Potiphars wife was very willing to sleep with Joseph.

So your saying that you don’t think it was a sin at that time to procreate by incest? I’m not trying to debate just poking likewise minds in Christ. Because in my eyes I don’t see any scriptural evidence supporting that incest wasn’t a sin. And then because I believe it was a sin. I don’t believe God was telling people to have incest because In Leviticus it cuts off all relations between family members I think He stops at like third cousins which would be by marriage anyway and not directly blood related. Appreciate the comment. I love talking about the deeper thoughts of the Bible lol.

It is really simple, folks...

Adam and Eve had more children even before Seth.

The boys married sisters and had children.

Then cousins married and had children.

And so on...
Where my mind gets caught up on is that I don’t understand or think that God would have told them to be incestual when later In Leviticus it becomes a sin. Maybe He did for some reason. But it doesn’t make sense to me because eventually incest would cause all kind of birth defects and other issues with the family line so what changed to make that not happen?

So my question with that, is why was it ok then but not later and incest has been known to cause birth defects and other issues in your bloodline. What changed between genesis and Leviticus where God then condemned it as a sin?

You have answered your own question and not even realized it...

The eventual "change" is what brought about the problems.

Nothing changed to make it 'not' happen - but, something changed that then made it happen.

Just about everyone of the skeptical questions has been answered throughout the decades (if not centuries) by others.
