There reaches a point where God shuts the door on some because they continually push a gospel that is not the gospel of Jesus and worse, they encourage others to do the same. They reject scripture that plainly explains to them where they are in error and that has a consistent negative effect upon them until their hearts are hardened to the truth and it is impossible to reach them, short of a miracle from God Himself.

It’s pointless continuing to dispute with Sabbath commanders who disobey a Holy Spirit-backed decree that settled this identical dispute almost 2,000 years ago. I’m sure when Paul and Barnabas were disputing with the Pharisee spies, that some of the same scriptures that were used then are still used today by the modern Sabbath commanders. And that’s why they brought this identical dispute to the senior apostles, Peter and James and the elders who all concluded that “no such commandment” was ever given by them to the Gentiles and that “no such commandment” will ever be given to the Gentiles from that point going forward.

It’s clear that the decree was still in full effect when several years later Paul met James at Jerusalem who was concerned that Paul was teaching the Jews of Asia the same things he was teaching the Gentile believers when he said, “But concerning the Gentiles who believe, we have written and decided that they should observe no such thing, except that they should keep themselves from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality.” (Acts 21:25)

And what was that “no such thing” that the Gentiles were still not required to observe? to “’...be circumcised and keep the law’—to whom we gave no such commandment." And “the law” which is the law of Moses, includes the Sabbath. Acts 15: 24

So from what I can observe, Sabbath commanders who have read this clear explanation of the decree, and continue to ignore the decree and teach others that they are required to observe the Sabbath to be saved, are willfully disobeying God, and it’s impossible to change the course of those engaged in willful disobedience.

The message you shared is built on a misunderstanding. It takes a small part of Acts 15 and uses it to cancel the commandments, including the Sabbath. But the apostles never removed any command of God. They only dealt with one question. The question was whether Gentiles must become Jews through circumcision to be saved. Peter said no. James said no. They agreed that salvation comes through Jesus, not through joining the Jewish nation. This was the whole point of the meeting.
The apostles never said that Gentiles can ignore God’s commandments. They never said that the Sabbath was gone. They never said the law was canceled. They only said that circumcision was not required for salvation.

Jesus Himself taught that God’s commandments remain. He said that not one part of the law will pass away until heaven and earth pass away, and they are still here. He said that if we break even the least command and teach others to do the same, we will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. He lived by the Sabbath and called Himself Lord of it, not the destroyer of it.
Peter did not change this. John did not change this. James did not change this. None of them ever said the Sabbath ended. None of them removed the commandments. They only refused to place the heavy traditions of men on Gentile believers.
The phrase “no such commandment” in Acts 15 and Acts 21 refers only to circumcision and the requirement to keep the whole system of Jewish national customs. It does not mean God’s commandments as spoken by Him from the beginning. It does not mean the Sabbath that God blessed at creation. It does not mean the moral law that Jesus confirmed.

The argument you shared tries to use Paul’s letters to undo what Jesus said. This is the root of the problem. This is why people fall into error. They give more weight to unclear arguments about Paul than to the clear words of Jesus. When anyone says the Sabbath or the commandments no longer matter, they are pushing aside Jesus’ own voice.

Jesus warned that many would set aside the commandment of God to keep traditions of men. The idea that the Sabbath ended is a tradition of men. Jesus never taught this. His apostles never taught this. The Old Testament never taught this.
So the claim that “Sabbath keepers are disobeying the Holy Spirit” is not true. It is the opposite. It is those who reject a command of God, confirmed by Jesus, who refuse to listen.

The truth is simple. Jesus said, if you want life, keep the commandments. Jesus said, follow the word of God. Jesus said, your obedience shows your love for Him. That is why the Sabbath remains. It is part of God’s own words.
Anyone who teaches that the Sabbath was removed is going against what Jesus clearly taught. That mistake misleads many. But the truth stands firm. Jesus spoke it. His apostles walked in it. And we must follow Him.

The truth is simple. Jesus said, if you want life, keep the commandments.

No that is your truth as has been shown over and over and over in this thread with constant biblical truth to illustrate you do not represent the gospel of Jesus. It doesn't matter how you 'feel' about me. The truth is not about feelings and you do not post the truth starting from yr 1st post on. Jesus did not make a covenant with the 10 commandments. He made a covenant with His own blood which you deny and therefore seem to think there are 2 different Christs.

27Then He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. 29I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in My Father’s kingdom.” Matthew 26

The op has never been able to keep the commandments and if he says he has, then he make God out as untruthful because says we cannot keep them.

Now, usually after telling us Jesus said to keep the commandments, he forgets that Jesus said 'I GIVE YOU A NEW COMMANDMENT'

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. John 13:34

Nothing about the 10 commandments whatsoever. After Jesus rose from the dead, He ushered in a New Covenant. A covenant by His blood. We do not go to hell if we go to church on Sunday either. It is not a sin. That has all been addressed in this thread many times.

Continue to deny God's words Jesus's and see what happens, I have warned you.

A reminder from scripture about the Ten Commandments that are the contents of the covenant old and new ( i will explain this this further shortly)

The Ten Commandments hold a place that no other law holds, because God Himself spoke them aloud and God Himself wrote them. The Scriptures make this difference plain. Exodus 20:1 says, “And God spoke all these words, saying,” showing that the voice heard at Sinai was not the voice of a prophet but the voice of God speaking directly to the whole nation. Deuteronomy 4:12–13 says, “The Lord spoke to you out of the midst of the fire… So He declared to you His covenant, which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone.”

Here the Ten Commandments are called God’s covenant, and they were written by God, not by a man. Deuteronomy 5:22 repeats this and adds an important detail: “These words the Lord spoke… with a loud voice; and He added no more. Then He wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me.”

God spoke only this set of laws in this manner, and He added nothing else to this group. No other part of the law was spoken directly to the nation by God with His own voice. Exodus 31:18 adds, “He gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony… tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.” And Exodus 34:28 says the same: “He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.”

The testimony is consistent and unbroken. The Ten Commandments came directly from the mouth and the hand of God.
The rest of the law was different. These laws were given through Moses and written by Moses, not spoken directly by God to the people and not written by God on stone. Deuteronomy 31:24–26 says, “When Moses had completed writing the words of this law in a book… Moses commanded the Levites… ‘Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark.’” These laws were written in a book by Moses, not carved in stone by God, and they were placed beside the ark, not inside it. Exodus 24:3–4 states, “Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the judgments… And Moses wrote all the words of the Lord.” These judgments and instructions were written by Moses because they belonged to the body of laws given through the prophet. Leviticus 1:1–2 also shows how these laws came: “Now the Lord called to Moses, and spoke to him… saying: ‘Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them.’” God gave Moses many instructions, but Moses delivered them and Moses wrote them. 1 Kings 8:9 gives the final piece of evidence: “There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets of stone which Moses put there at Horeb.” Only the Ten Commandments were placed inside the ark. The other laws, written by Moses, were placed beside it. The Scriptures themselves show the separation.

Because God does not change, what He spoke with His own voice and wrote with His own finger stands with His own unchanging nature. Malachi 3:6 says, “For I am the Lord, I do not change.” Numbers 23:19 says, “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent.” Psalm 102:27 says, “But You are the same, and Your years will have no end.” The God who spoke “You shall have no other gods before Me” is the same forever, and the covenant He personally established does not shift.
The Scriptures also say plainly that God’s commandments are eternal. Psalm 111:7–8 says, “The works of His hands are verity and justice; all His precepts are sure. They stand fast forever and ever.” Psalm 119:142 says, “Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your law is truth.” Psalm 119:160 says, “The entirety of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.” And Ecclesiastes 12:13 summarizes the whole matter: “Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all.” The Scriptures do not present the commandments as temporary or passing. They present them as God’s everlasting standard.

This is a the testimony of Scripture. The Ten Commandments were spoken and written by God, placed inside the ark, called the covenant, and marked as permanent. The rest of the law was written by Moses, placed beside the ark, and never given the same place or the same everlasting description. Because God does not change, the covenant He spoke and wrote does not change, and the Scriptures declare that His commandments stand forever.

Are you saying that the rest of the law following the ten commandments.

Was written by man and not by God?

1 John 3:23-24
This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another,
just as He commanded us. The one who keeps His commandments remains in Him, and He in him.
We know by this that He remains in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

The law of Christ is the two commandments above.

Here is what you said again "The Ten Commandments hold a place that no other law holds"?

More important than the law of Christ?

If sin = death
And sin is the transgression of the law.

The transgression of the law = death.

Jesus died for our sins and paid the death penalty for us..

So does that mean we are free to transgress the law or we are free from the penalty of the law.

Does that mean the law is removed or the penalty of transgressing the law is removed.

Grace = unmerited, freely-given favor.

If the law is removed, we would not need grace. The law is not removed but we are free from the penalty by the grace of Jesus.

Sin is not transgression of the law for a Gentile.

Sin is transgression of the law for a Jew only.

Jesus was only sent to the Jews to fulfill their law and that was their atonement for their sin.

Gentiles were grafted into the root which is Christ at a later time in history.

So what was the punishment for Adultery?
And the punishment for taking God's name in vain. ????

The punishments given to Moses to rule over the nation of Israel are not applied to our countries politics today.

The sabbath command does not change
Regardless of the type of penalty for not obeying.
The punishment does not change the commandment. The punishment can change or not exist but the commandment does not change. We are told to keep the commandments because we love Jesus not because we fear the penalties.

God is the final judge.

Is the written law eternal?

Here is what AI understands from the scripture regarding the law and it's limitations.

1. Scripture teaches that the Law is temporary and tied to this age, not eternity
Galatians 3:19

“Why then the law? It was added because of transgressions, UNTIL the Seed should come…”

Paul says explicitly:

  • the Law was added
  • because humans are sinful
  • and it remains until the coming of Christ (the Seed)

This makes the Law inherently temporary, belonging to the age of sin and death.

Romans 3:20

“Through the law comes knowledge of sin.”

In heaven, there is no sin.
Therefore, a command designed to give knowledge of sin has no function in perfection.

1 Timothy 1:9

“The law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless…”

In heaven, everyone is perfectly righteous.
Therefore, commandments like “do not steal, do not lie, do not kill” are inherently obsolete in that state.
There is no need to forbid what cannot occur.

2. Scripture teaches that commandments exist because of the flesh, not eternity
Romans 7:12,14

“The law is holy… but I am carnal.”

The contrast is between:

  • The Law → revealed to restrain sin
  • The flesh → the realm where sin operates

In heaven, the flesh is gone (1 Cor 15:50), meaning the Law has no role.

3. Scripture teaches that in the resurrection we are transformed beyond the need for Law
Luke 20:34–36

Jesus says that in the resurrection:

  • “They neither marry nor are given in marriage.”
  • “They cannot die anymore.”
  • “They are like the angels.”

Angels do not live under the Sinai Law.
There is no Torah for angels.
Their obedience flows from perfect nature, not external commands.

Likewise in heaven, obedience is internal reality, not external instruction.

4. Scripture teaches that the Law ends when perfection arrives
1 Corinthians 13:10

“When the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.”

Paul includes commandments, knowledge, prophecy—all partial forms of revelation—as things that end when perfection arrives.

Romans 10:4

“Christ is the end (telos = goal/termination) of the law…”

The Law’s purpose reaches its completion in Christ, and on the last day its entire function will cease.

5. Scripture speaks of a new creation with no need for commandments
Revelation 21:27

“Nothing unclean will ever enter it.”

This is not maintained by commandments, but by perfected nature.

Jeremiah 31:33 (quoted in Hebrews 8 & 10)

“I will write My law on their hearts.”

This is not Sinai commandments, but inner transformation.

When the law is internalized, external commandments become unnecessary.

6. Conclusion (Scripture-only)

According to Scripture:

  • The Law was temporary (Gal 3:19).
  • It exists because of sin and the flesh (Rom 3:20; 7:14).
  • It is for the unrighteous, not the righteous (1 Tim 1:9).
  • It ends when the perfect comes (1 Cor 13:10).
  • Heaven is a realm of perfect nature, where no external commandments exist (Luke 20:36; Rev 21:27).

Therefore:

**The commandments such as “do not lie” or “do not kill” are not eternal commandments.

They belong to this age of sin and flesh.
When perfection arrives, the entire Law becomes obsolete.**

This aligns with your suggestion:
The Law is temporary until the last day, when perfection in Christ replaces it entirely.

To say I only used a “small part” of Acts 15 and that the question raised in Acts 15 was only about “whether Gentiles must become Jews through circumcision to be saved” are both bald faced lies. The decree clearly states that the question was about whether or not the Gentile believers “...must be circumcised and keep the law”—to whom [the senior apostles and elders] gave no such commandment." Acts 15: 24

There was never any commandment from the apostles and elders up until that decree, nor within that decree, for Gentile believers to not only get circumcised, but to keep the law. And even those with the most basic understanding of scripture know that “the law”, in this context, is the “law of Moses” that the Pharisee sect was referring to earlier in that same chapter (Acts 15: 5). And also, those with the most basic understanding of scripture know that the law of Moses includes the Sabbath.

Now for some Sabbath commanders to use utterly pathetic arguments that suggest that followers of Christ who do not observe the law of Moses are now giving themselves permission to murder, lie and steal just because those commands are also in the law of Moses, is utterly preposterous. What repentant former Sabbath commanders need to start doing is use the decree in Act 15 as the basis to open up a whole new world of understanding about being transformed into taking on the very nature of God the Father and of His Son Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit. That this transformation places one in the very company and within the very same place where God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ both reside, where there are no sunrises or sunsets.

Is the written law eternal?

Here is what AI understands from the scripture regarding the law and it's limitations

This is what AI said ....
"In the Bible, laws are generally seen as non-arbitrary, rooted in God's character (moral laws like the Ten Commandments) or having practical purposes (hygiene laws for Israel's health), though some Old Testament rules (ceremonial/judicial) were temporary for ancient Israel and fulfilled in Christ, leading to different applications today,"

"Non-Arbitrary Laws (Eternal & Purposeful)
Moral Laws: Commandments like "Do not murder" or "Do not steal" are seen as reflections of God's unchanging character and universal principles for human relationships"

In essence, biblical laws are broadly seen as having divine purpose, with the main debate focusing on how different categories of law (moral, ceremonial, civil) apply to believers today."

This is what AI said...

NON ARBITARY LAWS like the Ten commandments..

God has an unchanging moral character

Love is the basis,
Love for God and Love for our neighbour is what all the laws hang off.

To love God we need to trust Him and to have faith.

The law was given by God as 10 commandments,

Trust God and have faith that these are for our safety and protection. For our Good.

Actually Jesus redefines much of the 10 Commandments making them valid this very moment like instead of coveting your neighbors wife it's just now thinking about her or instead of murdering someone it's just thinking about killing them or harming them.
Jesus made the 10 Commandments even more impossible to keep in order to show just how much we need God to intervene on our behalf.
But if we're able to keep them it's purely because we do love God and our neighbors as ourselves, which is another thing Jesus summed the 10 Commandments down to.
So the 10 Commandments are alive and well and as valid for today than at any other time.

...And instead of observing the Jewish/OT Sabbath law, it is now worshipping and serving the Lord every day--
and without execution being the penalty for disobeying it.

Here is what AI understands from the scripture regarding the law and it's limitations
Be careful

AI is taking the wisdom of man and the thinking of the majority and stating the conclusion..

But the wisdom of man is foolishness.
And the majority was often wrong.

The path to heaven is narrow and few walk it. Not the majority but few.

Trust or faith and love for God is what saves us.... these all come by spending TIME with the Lord. Personal time helps us to love, and trust Him.

What a wonderful gift the sabbath is for us to stop and spend TIME with our Lord and saviour. Personal time not interrupted by work or pleasure. like a special date each week. We can worship the Lord all week and any day but the sabbath was sanctified and made holy for this purpose. God's presence is what makes something holy and the 7th day is made holy.

Praise God for the 4th commandment
It is a delight and Spiritual blessing.
I really feel sorry for those that ignore it.

In Isaiah 58:13 God calls the Sabbath “my holy day” and “a delight.”
It is the presence of God in something which makes it holy. (Remember the burning bush?) God’s presence is in the Sabbath just as His presence is also manifest in the life of a genuine Christian. So why should not true Sabbath-keeping be made a memorial of true salvation in Christ?
It is no happenstance that the same Hebrew word "chasid" is used in Isaiah 58:13 to describe the Sabbath (“my holy day”) and also in Leviticus 19:2 to describe God’s people (“Ye shall be holy”). He dwells in the Sabbath, and He dwells in His people as a sanctifying influence, hence both are called “holy.” This is why God made the Sabbath, from the beginning, a sign of sanctification. “Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the Lord that sanctify them” (Ezekiel 20:12).

...And instead of observing the Jewish/OT Sabbath law, it is now worshipping and serving the Lord every day--
and without execution being the penalty for disobeying it.
We all have a choice.

Except for 3 things.... no choice about.
BIRTH
DEATH
THE JUDGEMENT.

The day will come when you will need to stand before the mighty judge.

The death penalty can still be given but it is eternal death.

The robe of Christ's righteousness is not an excuse to Disobey purposefully.

Where does the bible say the sabbath ended.

Just be aware that YOU might be holding hollow traditions. I ask for biblical texts to prove your statements, but you just keep making
and believing these unproven points.

The Sabbath law was never commanded in the NT anywhere, so be careful that you don't presume that it is still unchanged.

Rom. 7:12-14 says nothing about the Sabbath, but Col. 2:16-17 says not to let anyone judge you regarding a Sabbath day, because it is a shadow of the reality that was to come, namely Christ, and Heb. 7:18 says that the Levitical laws were set aside for being useless and replaced with a better hope, namely Jesus.

So there are your biblical texts (be careful what you ask for); happy now?

Comment:

"and Heb. 7:18 says that the Levitical laws were set aside for being useless and replaced with a better hope, namely Jesus."

18 For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.

Do you believe the 10 Commandments are weak and unprofitable? that is not what Christ taught. He taught if you want eternal life Keep the Commandments, how then are they "Unprofitable"?

19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope [did]; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

The Sacrificial Law -- which was added, made nothing perfect, the Sacrificial Law points to the Sacrifice of Christ and was ended by the ONE sacrifice of Christ, because animal sacrifices were unprofitable.

26 For such an high priest became us, [who is] holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

That says it all right there. Why would you feel sorry for believers for not keeping a commandment they were never given to keep under the new covenant (Colossians 2:16-17) unless you were trusting in keeping that commandment for salvation (at least in part). All this fuss over the sabbath day by you and feeling sorry for those who don't live up to your standard of setting out to keep the sabbath day says a lot about what you are truly trusting in for salvation -- sabbath keeping (at least in part).

The day will come when you will need to stand before the mighty judge.

Where does the bible say the sabbath ended.
So, according to you, believers under the new covenant who have not kept the sabbath day have disobeyed purposefully and will receive eternal death? Why don't you just admit that you are trusting in keeping the sabbath day for salvation (at least in part). Where does the Bible say that the Church, the body of Christ must keep the sabbath day under the new covenant? Where are the instructions for the Church, the body of Christ on how to keep the sabbath day under the new covenant? Instead, we read - Colossians 2:16 - Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day— 17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

It's obvious to me that you are trusting in Jesus Christ for salvation (at best for the most part, but not exclusively) + keeping the sabbath day (at least in part). You can try to deny this all you want but your words have exposed you.

...And instead of observing the Jewish/OT Sabbath law, it is now worshipping and serving the Lord every day--

Disobeying or not disobeying is the question.

Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
... This shows that the Sabbath was set apart as holy time from the foundation of the world, meant for humankind. Before sin and before jews and Gentiles...

Mar 2:27-28
27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: 28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Read the whole commandment... Notice that God specifies "the seventh day" as the Sabbath and gives His own rest in creation as the reason for its observance. It is His memorial of creation. Not His resurrection or ANY OR EVERY day but the 7th day.

Exo 31:13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.
Exo 31:17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

The prophet Ezekiel further confirms this, saying: "And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am the LORD your God" Ezekiel 20:20.
The Sabbath is a spiritual sign of our relationship with the Creator, reminding us of His power to create and sanctify.

Before you say that is just for the Jews...

We need to understand that we are the seed of Abraham and the adopted sons or heirs of God through Jesus.. Jesus was a Jew which means we are Jews by adoption.

Jesus clarified the true spirit of Sabbath keeping, emphasizing that "it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days" Matthew 12:12, performing acts of mercy and healing. He never broke the Sabbath command but rather rescued it from man-made traditions.

The Apostle Paul, in his ministry to both Jews and Gentiles, regularly worshiped and taught on the Sabbath day. We read that "Paul, as his manner was, went in to them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures" Acts 17:2. Also, "when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles sought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath... And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God" Acts 13:42, 44. This shows continued observance by early Christians, including Gentiles.

God did not bless just any day of rest, but "the seventh day"
To claim that one can keep any day or every day holy as long as it's for God contradicts God's specific instruction and removes the very reason He gave for the Sabbath's existence—His creative act on the seventh day. The Sabbath is "the Sabbath of the LORD thy God" Exodus 20:10, not merely a day we choose for ourselves.

Keeping the Sabbath is an act of loving obedience to God and a sign of our loyalty to Him as our Creator and Sanctifier. "If you love me, keep my commandments" John 14:15.

You can think it is not disobedience to ignore the 7th day Sabbath, but there is no Bible reason or logic or verse to say the sabbath has changed in any way from the time of creation.
