We do have an amazing example of the suffering Jesus went through preparing Himself in the Garden before His betrayal. But let's not get beyond the fact He might have prayed as we read and submitted as He did but in reality He volunteered to do this and would have without the extras we read about.

Wow you're getting agitated. I can't talk with people who use their potty mouth language.

So if Jesus was free to refuse the cross so are we free to do his will it not. Some times we choose the former and sometimes we choose the latter.
An emoticon is not language, you are very confused. You conflate too many things!

And logical fallacies don't really cut it for me. Nor do lies.

I believe what the Bible says, not some un-Biblical philosophical construct.

I would think that it would have to mean the sins of this world then. Because that is where they have to be cleansed in order to make it to the next. Thats just me anyways. To me the Bible was written for the church in the church age. What ever happens in the next world is a result of your response to the gospel in this world. I just dont get why the Bible would be written to all the future saints existing in heaven. Thats like writing a book to tell people how to get to heaven who are already in heaven. It jist dont make sence in my head is all.

Well, I think generally that it is the result of God choosing to reveal His complete plan of salvation to His elect so they can
discern that Scripture, on the spiritual level, is solely about Christ - to know that He is its singular fundamental unifying principle.

[Psa 40:7-8 KJV]
7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book [it is] written of me,
8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law [is] within my heart.

World is kosmos which has several definitions. People generally choose the definition that aligns with their beliefs.

I think there's about nine different definitions. PLUS the Fact that neither God ordained his Old Covenant people to be part of THIS world, nor did the Jews themselves believe they were, nor did Jesus believe they were. Numerous passages teach this truth.

Careful with divine intervention. Some don't believe God exerts influence.
Or they call it being forced. Unless it was them. Then they call it being drawn.

If God was required at all. Some believe He is not.

They have some new age type belief about people evolving.

It's a "free will" thing.

Something about them being so special they can do what Jesus said was impossible.

After spending eight years in a hellish relationship with covert narcissist, this forum has an all to familiar vibe for me.
I've had all the training I desire.

>>> slowly backing out the door

Much love, much peace.
Well said.
So in what dies this thread have familiarity with narcissists ?

Interesting observation. I didn't pay that close attention to it.

Most do not.... It is as if she has a spell cast on it so we won't notice it.
As if it gives her a chuckle to see what power she has over others.

If she does not like me saying that?
Then she should remove the reason for me stating what is obvious once one is shown.

I bumped into witches while attending a Bible college.
I eventually saw through their facade.
Mystified me as why they would want to attend.
I kept quiet, hoping they would get saved...

For some, it is to make themselves familiar with the language we speak.
That is what enemy spies do...

By the way.

That unicorn?

Speaks just like Mr. Ed, but with a lisp.

.......

I should have included in my prior post to you that I do not think that our "response" carries any weight with God regarding salvation. It is all of and by God, He is the Savior, not us. He saves whom, based upon His prerogative and good pleasure, He chose for it regardless of our pre-salvation response to it - otherwise, no one would ever become saved

That answers my question
from ##29158 Do you think the natural man possesses the attributes of Jesus? Was Jesus a child of wrath
in your view? Was He deserving of death? I believe He laid down His life willingly. How about you?

Difficult to discuss anything with dishonest people. Or those who refuse to answer questions while demanding answers.

Was Jesus' will captive to the will of the devil as mortal humans are?

Was He blinded as the whole world is?

Was He opposed to the Spiritual things of God as the natural man is???

I thank Jesus for rescuing me from the dominion of darkness. No mortal human could have done that.
