What particular animal do you sacrifice for an instance in which you do sin? Are you not aware that if you do not keep the entire law with perfection you are guilty of breaking ALL of it? That, is in the Bible so you can follow up and hopefully come to the understanding Jesus died in your place BECAUSE the law is perfect and none of us can keep it
None of us can keep it you say.... Jesus did. He is our example.
I don't claim perfection but I do believe that by faith, I can have total victory over sin. The closer I come to Jesus the more wretched and poor I see myself, so i will not say i have reached perfection. But if i aim low thats all ill reach. But I believe that Jesus can me to the uttermost..
Heb 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
He didn't come to save us from half of our sin or to save us from part of our problems, or to partially restore the image of God in us....
NO To save us completely from sin.
REDEMPTION IS MORE then just forgiveness of our past guilt. Redemption is also power to overcome sin.
If you say "no one can keep the law," you are saying exactly what the devil is telling the world and promoting his deception. You are setting the standard low.
Does God give us a standard that we can not keep. Does God ask us to do something we can not do?
By our own power we will fail. BUT... God has promised to give us the victory and by faith in the all powerful Lord we can do all things...
Phi 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Eph 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head,
even Christ:
Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
1Co 15:57 But thanks
be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Rev 22:14 Blessed
are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
2Ti 3:16-17
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
MAY BE PERFECT ....
1Co 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
I agree that Christ is our righteousness..
His righteousness is our ticket to heaven.
But the Bible is clear that Christ also wants us to be like Christ and follow Him.
That Christ will work in us to be overcomers and to gain the victory.
Do you have faith in Jesus to gain the victory over sin in you... or are you promoting that God can't do it.
When you say we can't have total victory you are making provisions for the flesh...
Rom 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
I have faith that I can do all things (give up every known sin) through Christ who strengthens me.
I can do nothing without Christ and my righteousness is as filthy rags so I am not saying "I" can do this myself, but I know that the Lord promises this to those that believe in Him.
