However, given what we learned from DOGE, it is NOT unreasonable to assume that the DS Leftists have learned how to cleverly funnel SNAP funds to unknown sketchy organizations, sources and people.... (dead or alive or illegal)....

It seems very likely - lots of talking heads stating that the DS Leftists likely Shutdown the Government as a means to assure Election Victories in NY, NJ and VA Governor Races - leveraging their Blue State victims of TDS who despise DOGE and are Anti-Trump at all cost....

Explains why Trump did not endorse Windsome Sears, and Cuomo tried to distance himself from Trump's endorsement.... to avoid triggering the TDS victim voters...

Projecting that Congress will vote to RE-OPEN the Government in the near future.... We shall see... even though I am on Furlough I can still afford the cost of more Popcorn....

Will be interesting to see how this plays through in the short term and long term...

Think about this, air traffic controllers are not getting paid and as a result this could cause them to shut down air travel in parts of the US if not all of it. Air transport supports 86.5 million jobs! So I get why everyone thinks SNAP is very important, you have 41 million people depending on that to buy food, but if what about Air Traffic controllers? If you pay them you can keep paychecks going to 86.5 million people.

Agree... I think that the Light is being Shined on SNAP as everything else that the DS Left has attempted as another Desperate Move - that will similarly to simply provide OPTICS that will ultimately blowing up in their faces... My sense is that there is a lot of there there...
I can't remember which MAGA podcaster pulled some data that revealed that the average SNAP recipient was 40 lbs over weight, while being able to afford some pretty comfortable in home luxuries etc... where I interpret this to suggest that some will at a minimum call for changes in Policies...
Like DOGE findings - my sense is that there remains a strong likelihood that an audit will help confirm or deny if all the money going towards SNAP is in fact going to the validated participates and not into the wrong hands...

i walked past a lady in my local kroger a few days ago, who was riding on one of the scooters.

she was very overweight, had the basket filled with junk food, and she was getting a large box of muffins with sprinkles when i walked past.

now, i have no idea if she had snap or not, but it is sad to see all the people that are terribly overweight, and loading up on more junk food..

So as the conversation about the potential Nuclear Option are being entertained... I can't help but putting on my 'Irregular Warfare' hat and think about a viable little Gamesmanship strategy to ensure that REASONABLE outcomes are forced within Congress...
What IF, Congress votes to ELIMINATE the Filibuster as a means to REOPEN the Government...
and after achieving this simple little objective... in a few weeks, months they simply take a RE-VOTE to re-introduce the Filibuster with more reasonable man modifications and limitations for future Congressional Business...
For example, One of the changes to make it harder for Congress to shut down the Government is to NOT PAY CONGRESS when they shutdown the Government...

I would even go as far as to say that I don't care if they DID take a daycare worker if the daycare worker was an illegal alien. In fact, if there was an actual illegal alien working as a daycare worker- I'd even give ICE a COMMENDATION; because American children shouldn't be under the stewardship of illegal aliens!

I'm sure you know I approve of this and even further cruel and unususal punishments for congress.... But more importantly: getting at the so-called "nuclear option" and its strategic value, implications, and consequences-I think the filibuster is a good rule when you have somewhat sane people in government. The problem is not the filibuster; the problem is that a lot of our Senators are completely out of their minds and not even loyal to the United States and its citizens.

I initially disagreed with Trump suggesting this; but after letting it simmer; I think he's correct strategically- However, the consequences for conservatives if the Republicans fail (which they probably will) will be severe. As ECW said... we're going to be persecuted in an unprecedented way if they fail. That's probably true, even if they don't CANX the filibuster; because like he said, the dems probably will if they take power back; so..... he's right.
