I could be wrong but you strike me as a younger person, you use a male as your avatar but...

And I do not recognize him, I am not up on these old dead guys as much as others accuse me of.
I’ve been out of school for a very long time. Been out of my twenties for a long time too.

@Magenta, although we disagree, my cookie eating, apple pie loving, chocolate delight addict self still loves you 😎
Though you revile me and say I am not your sister which means you do not believe I am saved?

I can live quite comfortably without that kind of love. But I do also understand that you are not, shall we say,
fond of a man known as Calvin. I don't know him myself, either, and my beliefs are not based on what he taught.
I believe what the Bible says because I believe in God and I believe in God because He made Himself known to
me, another thing free willers in this thread mock and scoff at, and deny God does, and shamefully try to shame
those who affirm His promises along those lines. Then they would rather blaspheme Him than admit error.

Mate, you can't even speak properly! You Pommies are a nuisance when you come to Australia! In fact, you're a nuisance everywhere!
Well if i do come to Australia be sure to recognise me as the kangaroo that boots you in to the river for insulting my friend

I remember years ago when I said my age, someone who thought they knew me well
was quite surprised, I think they thought I was much younger, it could be my spirit...

OK.
So what is the key to get into heaven ?
Well, John 14:6..no one comes to the Father but through Jesus. Jesus also said one must be born again (Jn 3). Jesus said repentance and remission of sins be preached in His name beginning in Jerusalem (Lk. 24). Jesus gave Peter the keys of the kingdom (Mt. 16). He used those on Pentecost, where he preached repentance and remission of sins in the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38). Repent and be baptized for the remission of sins. Believe Jesus (Jn. 3:16), Repent (Acts 2:38), Confess Him (Rom. 10:9-10), be baptized for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38, 10:47-48). Jesus is the key and He gave words to how to enter Him.

Spot on!!

Jesus also said no one knows the Father except those to whom Jesus chooses to reveal Him. And that the world cannot receive the Spirit of Truth. This is why one must be called out of the world. Acknowledging that I have been called out of the world gets scorn heaped on me in here also, which is so weird. Who are these people? Oh. They are free willers. Heh. Yeah. For some strange reason, they hate it when I praise God. They think I am doing what they do, which is give credit to the flesh which it does not in any way deserve. I know better. But they refuse to acknowledge also the full weight of what Scripture says of man. It is what makes them Pelagian heretics.

Matthew11-27.png

Matthew 11 verse 27 ~ All things have been entrusted to Me by My Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.

The world cannot receive the Spirit of truth, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. The world does not recognize Him. No one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him. The one who loves God is known by God. If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The mind that is set on the flesh is hostile toward God; it does not submit to God's law, nor can it. Whoever is not from God does not listen to us.

Thank you for quoting what some men said some 2000 years ago.

We must be Born Again.
Not something you choose.

It is actually explicitly articulated that it is not by the will of the flesh, or the will of man, but by God's will.

Made alive while we were yet dead. Dead in our trespasses and sins.

1 Corinthians 4 verse 7b; John 3 verse 27; Romans 9 verses 15-16 ~ What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did also receive it, why do you boast as not having received it? John replied, "A man can receive only that which is given him from heaven." "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." So then, it does not depend on man's desire or effort, but on God's mercy.
