The man who developed this ungodly doctrine supported burning his critics alive at the stake
How he governed Geneva is absolutely disturbing.

Deception is never of God.
The covert introduction of these false teachings into former Baptist traditonal evangelical churches is well documented by various churches in the USA.
That Jesus Christ is the Savior is deception? Really? That doctrine is the gospel
You do not fool me.
I know it was not your intent, but reading this made me feel sick to my heart.
People claim it is a soul destroying doctrine and it is.
Who?The man who developed this ungodly doctrine supported burning his critics alive at the stake
Don't need to even if I wanted to (which I don't). You manage to fool yourself.
That's one version of events.Yes very absurd.
When coming to this thread I remind myself that to understand the Good News of Christ Jesus
and to CARE about the Good News of Christ Jesus
is equal to opposition to the TULIP system whether lite or bold.
Calvin? Calvin never governed Geneva. He was not even a citizen. He never held citizenship or a government office in the city and was even expelled for a time. What is disturbing is how you and your ilk misrepresent history... you who loves to brag about what a great researcher you are.How he governed Geneva is absolutely disturbing.
Who?
I have noticed this propensity to misrepresent history among free willers before. They misrepresent history,"Michael Servetus, a Spaniard, physician, scientist and Bible scholar, suffered a worse fate. He was Calvin's longtime acquaintance who resisted the authority of the Roman Catholic Church. However, he angered Calvin by returning a copy of Calvin's Institutes with critical comments in the margins. So what did Calvin do? You can read his resolution from a personal letter he wrote to a friend:
“Servetus offers to come hither, if it be agreeable to me. But I am unwilling to pledge my word for his safety, for if he shall come, I shall never permit him to depart alive, provided my authority be of any avail.” - Letter to Farel, 13 February 1546

I have noticed this propensity to misrepresent history among free willers before. They misrepresent history,
Scripture, those they disagree with, and even themselves. Calvin was against the burning at the stake of Michael
Servitus, but the governing council made the decision against his wishes for a more humane death.

Sure. Dodge dodge doge the truth at all costs.Yeah like Judas was against Jesus being crucified.
He did not hold citizenship at the time of Servitus' execution, and Calvin had no say in the man's meansRather than have other people lose brain cells, the record is he was granted citizenship in 1559 in Geneva.
The term "governed" is not solely for used for political office.

He did not hold citizenship at the time of Servitus' execution, and Calvin had no say in the man's means
of execution despite the many free willers who wish to distort the record of history due to their CDS.
The truth is that Calvin was against burning Michael Servitus at the stake, but free willers claim otherwise. The truth that Calvin was a muderous maniac and the farthest thing from a Christian like the traitorous Judas was?
