How is it you are always wrong?
I have heard of him and no one has ever said man doesn't have volition.

Doesn't have volition?
Then why are "free willers" mocked here?

Robert Thieme, Jr.
You say that you only heard of him?....
But, never actually heard him?

He would faithfully teach six nights a week.
Expounding upon the Hebrew and Greek texts, while using the KJV as his launching pad.

He was a man who was dedicated to God's service.
On average he would study about 8 hours everyday .
And, then after study?
He would get himself up, and drive to church to teach.

At one time Billy Graham once asked Robert Thieme to mentor him.
But, because of his demanding schedule, had to turn it down.
Later, Billy was free to order his recorded daily classes.

Many pastors have studied from his lessons for their own personal study.
There have been a very few others offering excellent teachings.
But, R.B. Thieme, Jr., is the only one I know of that refused selling them for an asking price.
No money is ever asked for.

God has left us to be without excuse.

Gen 3:22 does not teach that mankind can know good and God!
Here's what the verse says, Rufus:

Genesis 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil

there's also

Romans 2:14-15 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another)

so mankind can know good. mankind does not always have to respond as you and some other portray mankind ...
.

yes ... the more we study God's Word, the more of God's Word we have which we can rely on. The first part of Hosea 4:6 tells us My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge ... this is not referring to a lack of knowledge of man's wisdom ... it's referring to a lack of knowledge of God's Word.

right ... discipline is not a bad word ... God's discipline is beneficial to us ... God's discipline yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby (Heb 12:11).
.
nice considerate reply thanks, Have you ever wondered if a pricked conscious is also a form of enabling grace

I'm sure he was a fine man.

The question has never been about volition or will. The question has been how free the will is. Is it unfettered as some have suggested? Is it limited as others have suggested? You yourself have recognized the limitations of the will.

And were they faithful to their word? If so, why were they not permitted to enter the land?

Could not enter because they were no different than what we see with Christians today.
Those who say they will do God's will for their lives, while never realizing what it really is for them.

There is a way that seems right to a man,
but in the end it leads to death.
Proverbs 14:12

Please forgive him, he has been doing a Lost in Space marathon again. Danger, Danger, Danger Will Robinson. . . . .
That's the best you can do when faced with the utter dissolution of your absurd doctrine? Dodging the thorny questions with childish lame attempts at levity?

@Cameron143 habitually uses this same greasy exit strategy to slip out of accountability.

Theme Jr. would not hesitate to call you as you really are right to your face. As a service to you and the viewing audience.

According to how some wrongly fantasize what free will is, it would take having to be God to have it.

Adam had free will before the fall. Jesus had free will. None since the fall besides Him. Everyone else has been subjected to the influence of the flesh or the Spirit.

Jesus had free will.
Yet, Jesus was also temptable.

Adam had free will.
Adam gave into temptation.

Follow onto salvation.

But, after saved?
They may follow some false teaching....
Sorry what you mean ?

I know you feel strongly about volition, but why should volition just be seen as freewill, why not see volition (choice) as will power.

So how does the right volition (choice) work for his children or who would be his children, well I believe it' starts with s pricked conscience. And there isn't a single person who doesn't get there conscience pricked.

And there conscience has been pricked by God's will power. Gods enabling grace
