I am beginning to suspect you do not understand the term "current events".
I don't think you would even believe someone like me, so I could suggest that, you do your own homework and read your bible and then you can see them for yourself. And wont have to trust what I say!

In the midst of thousands of good doctors, there are absolute quacks.

One cannot be so foolish to think the same because they've found dozens of false teachers there aren't any good ones.
The same with those who have found empty claims to have the gifts.

They didn't, and no born again believer such as myself does. This is a good point, because atheists employ this thinking to conclude that because there have been so many beliefs in false gods, therefore disbelief in the one true God is warranted.
However, atheist illogic does not mean faith in the Judeo-Christians God is blind, because there are many logical reasons to believe in One God rather than in no God, which are shared in the Apologetics thread and Lesson 1 of our website.

Paul leter to the Corinthians happened years later and JESUS has not returned to the best of my knolage yet?
It will end when HE returns, today JESUS and HIS spirit is ALIVE and we it is a part of being reborn.

There are fakes who do not believe in the gifts. It's not just those who make a fuss about not believing in the gifts. There are people who go out of their way to bash anything to do with a spritual connection to God while pounding their Bibles as if a book was somehow their salvation rather than the author of the book.

Those who deny the spirits power will deny themselves of it, they will never see the hand of God if they refuse to believe and not to mention nowhere in scripture does it say the gifts has ceased not a single verse
Yes Calvinists do that but they are sadly far from the only ones. It seems Cessationists like to come out swinging without cause other than 'how dare you say you have something we do not have'. That is absurd of course because God says all who call upon the name of Jesus are welcome and reading the New Testament we do not see anywhere that He causes someone to be blocked from His presence if they seek Him.
I think we need to remember that the game of those who disparage and mock seems to be putting people on the defensive. There is nothing to defend when it comes to believing what is true. It's kind of a sick game and whose fault is it if they just deny deny deny? It is certainly not God's doing and certainly not people who testify that the scriptures are true and the gifts are still available to all who seek God in spirit and in truth.
So while there are fakes, there are fakes on both sides. God looks on the heart and not the words people speak.
This is true. The Bible itself records those who were fakes and what happened to them. It's a sad comment when those who say they are Christians deny the spiritual truths when God Himself is Spirit. How can they say they know God when railing against those who experience the truth concerning spiritual gifts ? But like I said in my post to Blain, there are fakes on both sides and we should remember that. We need to recognize where these attacks that are anti spiritual gifts actually come from and who it is that attacks the truth. God is not attacking Himself.
Ah yes the cessationalists this is in my opinion a dangerous group for new believers as they tend to deny or downplay the power of God and the spirit and for a new believer this is a dangerous line of thinking.
And it is of the enemy that such views are embraced he does not want the spirit of God to be alive and active in the kingdom
