Aww diddums! You spit your dummy out of your pram when you can't control what should be discussion. You can't bear opinions which you don't agree with.
How do you know what I believe? I could be on the fence but communicating with you has proven that you don't know how to put the money where your mouth is at. You're all opinions only and have no Scripture proofs. You are the very essence Jesus warns about listening to man made doctrine. Man made doctrine is opinions but no Biblical proof. Very much like you have displayed for the past couple hours.

"volitionist"‎ is a much better term than "free will" I suppose.

Yes, evidently this is a real word lol.

So, that's your new name for your god: "volitionist"?

Do you believe with your volition or your heart that God raised Jesus up from the dead?

Not sure which comment you mean since I have made several heh.

But Scripture is plain. The natural/unregenerated man CANNOT submit to or obey God.

It is explicitly stated. So much for nothing speaks to man's inability. They just deny what Scripture says.

The unregenerated person serves his flesh. Nothing good dwells in the flesh. It serves the law of sin
and brings forth fruit unto death. That unregenerated person is opposed to the spiritual things of God,
is a God hater, and hears the gospel as foolishness. That is the person FWers claim is free to decide to believe.

It is pure vanity on their part, rubbish.

Flesh serves the law of sin. For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other. Nothing good lives in my flesh. Who can say, “I have kept my heart pure; I am clean and without sin”? Who can bring what is pure from the impure? No one! The flesh brings forth fruit unto death. Romans 7 v 25, Galatians 5 v 17, Romans 7 v 18, Proverbs 20 v 9, Job 14 v 4, Romans 7 v 5 (Romans 8 v 13 and James 1 v 15)
It was comment 10,589 i think Magenta but i totally agree we are so fallen, we can't submit to or obey Him, without His mercy and grace.

Many times in my life something beautiful, wondrous etc made me think He must exist but i did nothing about it, until He "activated" me last year. Activating me is closest to what happened i think.

Must go soon friend, it's always lovely seeing you.

Romans11-32s.png

Romans 11 v 32 God has consigned everyone to disobedience so that He may have mercy on all.
:)

All that I hear out of the super-determinists is two, maybe three verses being banged out over and over again.
But these are merely the vehicles for the projection of some kind of superiority-inferiority complex.
And are also excuses for the incessant issuance of diatribes and insults.

Can you show me in the Bible where it explains that we cannot exercise our free will?

Because I can show from the Bible where Theologians and Scholars explain is free will in the Bible.

"Freewill" is a myth and doesn't exist -- unless you believe man's volition is either not a human faculty or if it is, it doesn't exist in the evil hearts of men.

Burst out laughing, says one of those people who is walking irony! Sorry sweetheart, i don't like you and it's impossible for me to take you seriously until you say something i too think deserves discussion.

The FWer believes that with their enslaved volition they choose what their heart believes.

Sounds like the tail wagging the dog! As usual they put the cart before the horse...

Cheers Rufus but i'm a woman and usually very laid back, however, fools and hypocrites disgust me. Obvious you can stand up for yourself too.

Romans8-6-7s.png

Romans 8 v 6-7 The mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind of the flesh is hostile to God: It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.

Naturalmans.png

Biblical truth concerning the natural man: The flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other. The mind of the flesh is hostile to God: It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Flesh serves the law of sin. Good itself does not dwell in me.

Romans8-7a-Galatians5-17-John1-5-John14-17.png

Romans 8 verse 7a, Galatians 5 verse 17, John 1 verse 5, John 14 verse 17 ~ The mind of the flesh is hostile to God: It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. The flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. Darkness does not comprehend the Light. The world cannot receive the Spirit of Truth, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him.

John3-6-Romans8-7-Galatians5-17-2-Timothy3-13-Romans3-18.png

John 3 verse 6, Romans 8 verse 7, Galatians 5 verse 17, 2 Timothy 3 verse 13, Romans 3 verse 18 ~ Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit. The mind of the flesh is hostile to God: It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. The flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are opposed to each other. Evil men and imposters go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. There is no fear of God before their eyes.

romans8-5-8.png

Those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh; but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. The mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind of the flesh is hostile to God: It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the flesh cannot please God.

Yep, we're fallen so how can we achieve salvation ourselves? Going to play a few games of chess before sorting Dreamer's evening meal, hugs and blessings for now :)

Flesh-cannot-please-God.png

There is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will. Romans 3 verses 11-12; Romans 8 verses 5-8; 2 Timothy 2 verses 25-26

Free Will is the choice made after God manifested Himself to us whether we will believe or reject Him.

Scripture reference for this is Romans 1, 1 Corinthians, and Ephesians.

So you confirm that your preacher said something and you bought it hook line and sinker without proving it through Scripture and now on here spouting the same incorrect doctrine that you swallowed like it was fried chicken.
