No surprise. Ouch is a one string banjo - "water baptized or condemned" - plink, plink. I've asked him where he attends church multiple times but he refuses to answer.

Heading to your comfort zone with others who refuse to follow JESUS and HIS rule book!

You never asked me what church I go to, I did reply a few min ago.

What does that matter trying to figure out a way to avoid HIS WORD?

Being baptized in JESUS name is a commandment which you don't like, I'M not the problem you are.

Being filled with the Holy Ghost is a gift that JESUS gives us to help deal with Satan lies like just faith or believing alone saves you. I'm not the problem you are.

YOU NEED BOTH TO BE REBORN.

What are you going to do?

All of JESUS disciples along with JESUS was not accepted and still goes on today, Satan for sure is a worthy opponent as you can see how powerful he is.

You can also see how those who don't like what JESUS has to say, stick together.

Just like all of the Pharisees.

I am sharing the same message JESUS and his disciple did and don't expect to be liked as he warded us we will not be.

Luke 6:22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

John 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

If you accept JESUS and HIS message we could be brothers.

Paul warned Christians to beware of Judaizers, who revert to teaching justification by observing the law (Gal. 4:8-5:12). In Phil. 3:1-9 Paul said, “Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord!… Watch out for those… mutilators of the flesh. For it is we who are the circumcision [cf. Rom. 2:29]… If anyone else thinks he has reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more:… in regard to the law, a Pharisee… as for legalistic righteousness, faultless. But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ… I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ–that comes from God and is by faith.” IOW, reversion to the Law = perversion of the Gospel.

Judaizers includes Sabbatarians and Actsers/WBers, because Jesus taught that his righteousness (Matt. 5:10&20) surpassed and superseded that of those who obeyed and taught the law (cf. Matt. 12:5-12, 19:3-9, Heb. 7:18-10:1). The law is represented by John the Baptist in Matt. 3:11a, “I baptize you with water [WB] for repentance” [forgiveness of sins indicated in the Torah, cf. Rom. 7:4-8:17], and Spirit baptism (SB) is indicated in Matt. 3:11b, “but after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.” However, some people (“Actsers”) focus on events in Acts such as WB and glossolalia rather than on teachings in the epistles about faith/SB being what is essential (“Faithers”).

The book of Acts does not teach foundational Christian doctrine but merely records what occurred during the early days of the church era as the revelation of GRFS transitioned from OT beliefs to the NT doctrine that is taught in the epistles, which never command WB or tongues as signs of SB or as essential for salvation. By the last of Paul’s epistles, WB came to be understood as a good but non-essential work or rite, like physical circumcision, and the basis for believing folks are filled with the HS is reflecting God’s love for everyone (Matt. 22:37-40, 1John 4:7-21, John 13:35, Rom. 5:5, Gal. 5:6 & 22, etc.).

Regarding speaking in tongues, the original occurrence at Pentecost (in Acts 2:4-11) was earthly languages given as a sign of reversing Babel for the purpose of evangelism, but by the time of its occurrence in the church at Corinth it had morphed into mere babble, which Paul tried to quash tactfully (1Cor. 14:19), possibly because even pagan religions practiced it. Again, the purpose of the original gift at Pentecost and for a while longer was to fulfill prophecy and ensure the planting of the first Christian church, but that gift apparently ceased after the apostolic era (1Cor. 13:8-13) and was perverted by some into a faux gift of mere babbling, so one should not be myopic and focus only on a problematic proof-text (1Cor. 14:18-20).

I asked you more than once where you attended church. I did ask you which church you attended and "the church I attend follows HIS word" is not an answer. What is the name of your church? Are you ashamed to tell me? Many false religions and cults also claim to follow His word.

What does that matter trying to figure out a way to avoid HIS WORD?
Just because I reject your eisegesis does not mean I avoid His Word. You need to consider ALL of His Word and not merely your pet verses on water baptism.

Being baptized in JESUS name is a commandment which you don't like, I'M not the problem you are.
If I don't like it then why was I water baptized? Also, I was baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19) Do you have a problem with that? Do you teach that the formula must be "in Jesus' name" only? So do Oneness Pentecostals.

If you were filled with the Holy Spirit then you would understand that believing in Jesus/faith in Jesus/trusting in Jesus Christ alone for salvation saves. (John 1:12; 3:15,16,18; 6:40,47; 11:25,26; Acts 10:43; 13:38-39; 16:31; Romans 1:16; 3:24-26; 4:5-6; 5:1; 10:4; 1 Corinthians 1:21; 15:1-4; 2 Corinthians 4:3,4; 1 John 5:13 etc..).

Have you been filled with HIS SPIRIT?

If you haven't' your not following HIS rule book!!!

That is not judging anyone just stating facts.

You said,

What good is doing anything at all with HIS word if you don't have a solid foundation?
They are not my pet verses, they are HIS word which leads to life.

Since you can't see, that would have been my guess that you was baptized in JESUS titles, PROOF YOU DON'T FOLLOW HIS WORD!!

If you like you can prove your right by showing me ONE place anyone was baptized in HIS titles.

According to HIS word there is ONLY one way to be baptized, seems sad that as you call them oneness Pentecostals are the only ones who follow HIS WORD? SAD ISN'T IT.

I just told you FAC Pentecost church.

Why does that matter, WHAT DID I SAY MY PASTOR SAID??

YOUR REPEATING MATT SLICK I'M REPEATING JESUS!!!

As I shared, this is what happen when you are filled.

Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 10:45-47
45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

Acts 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Peter said what happens when JESUS FILLS YOU.
Acts 2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

Mark said what happens when JESUS FILLS YOU.
Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

So Peter and more disciples said we need to be baptized in JESUS name.
Peter and more disciples said what happens when we are filled with the Holy Ghost.

YOU DON'T AGREE WITH THEM, that' between YOU and JESUS.

LOL, I didn't say you were not born again, I DID SAY YOU need BOTH so are you saying your not?

Why do you say I'm not sharing the truth? There is a reason you don't like me I'M SHARING THE TRUTH.

I really don't care what you accept, that has nothing to do with me, it's MY job to share scripture planting seeds on how to be reborn after people get reborn then JESUS will lead them.

It's JESUS who opens eyes BUT YOU HAVE TO BE HUMBLE.

1 Corinthians 3:6-8
6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.

If we were brothers we would USE ALL OF HIS WORD not just Acts 20:21.

I see that you finally answered my question in the "At what point in our salvation is the blood of Christ applied?" thread.

(1) At what point in our salvation is the blood of Christ applied? - Christian Chat Rooms & Forums

Not sure if I can answer that question DO YOU KNOW?

OT had and animal sacrifice, they took the ashes and wixed them with water and sprinkles the ashes on the humble to get rid of sins.

NT,
John 19:34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

Im going to say when we are baptized in JESUS name and our sins are forgiven, beause of blood and water coming out of his side also??

When we sin if the future and repent and ask him to forgive us then the blood gets appied again. John 8:9

So as I said, I'm not sure now go ahead and claim I said something I didn't.

But I do know how to be reborn, believe, repent, get baptized in JESUS name and pray for JESUS to fill you with the Holy Ghost. MAY BE IN DIFFERTN ORDERS.

DO YOU???

Since you make so many personal statement how about breaking it down to 4 sections.

Explain what you mean by this of course back it up with HIS word.

1. Regarding speaking in tongues, the original occurrence at Pentecost (in Acts 2:4-11) was earthly languages given as a sign of reversing Babel for the purpose of evangelism,

Prove it was earthly languages given as a sign of reversing Babel for the purpose of evangelism,

Then we will move on to your next opinion's.
2. but by the time of its occurrence in the church at Corinth it had morphed into mere babble, which Paul tried to quash tactfully (1Cor. 14:19), possibly because even pagan religions practiced it.

3. Again, the purpose of the original gift at Pentecost and for a while longer was to fulfill prophecy and ensure the planting of the first Christian church, but that gift apparently ceased after the apostolic era (1Cor. 13:8-13) and was perverted by some into a faux gift of mere babbling,

You can suggest anything you like, if I can make a suggestion to you FOLLOW JESUS AND HIS WORD.

The problem is that you have been reposting the same opinions and insults ad nauseum,
and when I ended the argument, other folks began playing ping-pong with you,
which would be more appropriate on your thread, on which I will be glad to repost my disagreement
one more time if you wish, just no more here please, because I understand and do not want to quarrel.

Why are you adding to scripture with your opinion.

"James 2:19 is categorically not saying demons are condemned for having faith in Christ but insufficient works.
so, you completely abused it as a proof text."

IT DOES NOT SAY DEMONS HAVE FAITH AT ALL LET ALONE WORKS!!!!

WOW TALK ABOUT PUTTING WORDS IN GOD'S MOUTH!!!!!!

i think you're having a reading comprehension problem here.

you (ab)used James 2:19 to say that if belief was all that was necessary to be saved, then the demons are saved.

i explained that the passage doesn't say demons believe in the salvific work of Christ - it says demons believe there is only one God.

now you seem to think that i said exactly the opposite of that..
.. and you're rejecting your own idea that James is arguing the demons would be saved if faith was all that was necessary..

Agreed! It is He who keeps that state of grace for the one who believes in Him. The object of the belief sustains the salvation.

God promises to never leave not forsake His children. Salvation is not conditional. It is unconditional. The fruit is the growth (like on a tree with fertilization, sun, etc.) as it gets planted deep by the water (Jesus is the living water) (psalm 1). Sadly some believers never grow much but they are his children still.

now you seem to think that i said exactly the opposite of that..
.. and you're rejecting your own idea that James is arguing the demons would be saved if faith was all that was necessary..

Thank you for clarifing I NEVER SAID ALL YOU NEED IS FAITH TO BE SAVED!!

WHY IT'S NOT TRUE, according to that verse demons would be saved also.

NO comprehension problem just when people like you reword it that cause confusion.

GOD is not the authour of confusion, that is why we need to read HIS word and keep our oppinoni out of it.

You don't need to explain anything let JESUS do the talking.

Don't you remember how YOU reworded it?

"James 2:19 is categorically not saying demons are condemned for having faith in Christ but insufficient works.

then why do you claim if faith alone saves, then all demons would be saved?
GODS word does NOT SAY faith alone saves who ever I shared this with DID.

ASK HIM.

Your taking my statement out of context I was telling someone how they are wrong NOT AS A FACT.

Which is DECEIVING do you know who is behind lies and deceiving?

ahem

you're talking to yourself here m8

maybe this is an easier question:

  • believe what?

If you want to debate with me don't DECEIVE so much. Share the whole conversation or none.

Satan himself is behind all lies and deceiving.

And even more sadly, most souls are not selected to be His children per U.

I NEVER SAID ALL YOU NEED IS FAITH TO BE SAVED!!

WHY IT'S NOT TRUE, according to that verse demons would be saved also.

so now you're saying again that the demons have faith?

IT DOES NOT SAY DEMONS HAVE FAITH AT ALL LET ALONE WORKS!!!!

WOW TALK ABOUT PUTTING WORDS IN GOD'S MOUTH!!!!!!

do you realize how hard you're contradicting yourself?
