But clearly revelation describes it as a physical reality also.

I don't make a distinction between physical and spiritual, but between natural and spiritual, or if you will, supernatural. Natural pertains to the Adamic nature and spiritual pertains to the Christ nature, but both are physical. In a natural body the life is in the blood, which perishes, and in a spiritual body the life is the spirit, which is incorruptible and eternal, but both bodies are physical.

Here is the problem, when you begin to insert your logic or logical conclusions in to scripture and call it spiritual you become wise to your own understanding.
When you discredit the words of God's anointed you discredit the word of God in whom you say you believe.

For God says my ways and thoughts are far above yours. ......who can know the ways of the Lord?
When Daniel came across things above his understanding God said to role it up for the time is not ready to be known.

The scriptures tell us that everything is old nothing is new under the sun. That we have a never changing God. Also that the word of God
Shall not pass not one jot or titel until all is fulfilled.
Yet here we are not only here but all over the place....major break throughs.....the Bible through new eyes. ......its not what we first thought.....wonder who's doing this?🤔 could it be the one that coined the phrase......did God say?

There have been US missionaries to Israel for many decades that are not allowed to evangelize and start churches. Evangelicals are still looking for open doors to all the middle eastern countries. Other than Christian tourists, I don't see open doors of acceptance from the state religions of Jewish or Muslim countries.

8And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. 9And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves. 10And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

They are going to be tormented by their rejection of the powerful gospel preaching.

I have friends that visit our church as missionaries to Israel. They had a church there. They are older now so I'm not sure they are still there but they love Israel and it's people.

I thought this was right on the mark from the comments section,

Gospel is NOT "Jewish".
It's "Israel".
NOT the current nation of Israel, but the true Israel, "ones who wrestle with God but in the end, clings to God for salvation" just as Jacob did.
(emphasis mine)

“These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭6:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.”
‭‭Job‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭14:5‬ ‭KJV‬
  • Nature: Noah and Job were human beings, while Jesus is both fully God and fully human.
  • Sinlessness: Noah and Job were considered righteous but still capable of sin, while Jesus was completely without sin.
  • Purpose: Noah and Job's righteousness set them apart in their time, allowing them to fulfill specific roles in God's plan. Jesus's perfection, however, was central to his role as the ultimate sacrifice and savior of humanity.
  • Relationship with God: Noah and Job walked with God as faithful servants, while Jesus is God's beloved Son, having a unique and divine relationship with the Father.
I don't think you mean they could have taken the sins of the world as Jesus was destined to, do you? Btw, you left out Adam, lol.

Jacob didn't cling to God he endured to the end. He wouldn't let go until he was blessed.
He that endures to the end shall be saved...Jesus

Matthew 22:32-34
I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.
But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.

God is not the God of the "dead" (unbelievers of the messiah) but God of the "living"(believers with the Holy Spirit.)

He is the God of Abraham, who was a remnant.
The God of Isaac, who was a remnant.
And the God of Jacob, who was a remnant.

Jesus said this,not I.

Lot of good info on this site from a Jewish perspective

"Our focus on sharing the good news with Jewish people has also led us to a critical examination of many of the popular teachings concerning the salvation of Israel. In the process we have had to revise some of our own views and have come to the conclusion that the popular teaching that is defined as “dispensationalism” is a gross distortion of the gospel. By holding out a future hope and a different gospel for the Jews that does not depend on present faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus the Messiah, it unwittingly undermines the good news of what was accomplished on the cross – the work of which our Saviour declared, ‘it is finished.’"

Yes there are churches which believe the Gospel should not be preached to the Jews and there is no point because they are blind, God must deal with them sometime in the future.

The notion that God is leaving them blinded for 2000+ years (generation after generation) is another very bad fruit of dispensationalism.
....... could one say hmmmm.. anti-semitic.

I am quite sure Paul was writing to his contemporaries not the people situated in Rome 2000 + years into the future.
Very preposterous.

Very good to read this, I do believe it is a dying doctrine, hopefully, which explains why there is so much vitriol on here, they know as a doctrine it is not coherent, so all they can do is say "oh you are hateful." lol.

it seems to me like someone who wanted to refute this point should probably come up with the scriptures saying they were sinners because I have shared the ones supporting my position that they were righteous and walked with god and we’re never noted to be sinners like some of you seem to be stuck on
Ok. So the answer to my question, "You believe Noah, Job, and Daniel were sinless?"
Is YES. You DO believe they were sinless!

This is a foundational, fundamental question of Christian belief you have gotten severely wrong.
ALL have sinned. This is unequivocally said in both the OT and NT. ALL, surprisingly enough, means ALL.
If they lived a sinless life, then not only do they NOT need the Blood of Christ to remove their sin, but they could have acted as Christ Himself in saving humanity.

NONE of them claim to be sinless. You confuse blameless, and righteous as sinless. Let's look at each guy.

Noah:
Noah was a just man. Perfect ( Hebrew - Tamim) in his generation.
Tamim means without blemish or defect. This is a genetic description. Unlike everyone else in that generation, he was genetically untainted.
What did Noah do upon disembarking from the Ark?
He planted a vineyard, harvested it, and got so stinking drunk he wandered around naked! That sounds a little sinful to me.

Job:
There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil.

Blameless and upright DOES NOT mean sinless. In fact, at the end, God chastises him for thinking he's all that.
40 Moreover the Lord answered Job, and said:

2 “Shall the one who contends with the Almighty correct Him?
He who rebukes God, let him answer it.”
Job’s Response to God
3 Then Job answered the Lord and said:

4 “Behold, I am vile;
What shall I answer You?
I lay my hand over my mouth.
5 Once I have spoken, but I will not answer;
Yes, twice, but I will proceed no further.”

Daniel:

Daniel spends half of chapter 9 confessing his sin and that of all Israel. Enough said. There is NONE that is without sin.

20 Now while I was speaking, praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God,

The word gospel can have different connotations.
There is no doubt that this is what dispensationalism teaches... two covenants.

The idea that Jews and Christians are two different people of God who are saved through two different covenants (dual-covenant theology) is not in the NT.

However, the notion of national Israel and the Church as two distinct people of God contradicts the Bible and the NT goes to great lengths to clarify it, that is why they typically refer to the OT as their proof.
