Everyone is a bit different I imagine , so u r going to get lots of different answers , here's mine 😁 : b somewhere quiet where u won't b disturbed . Close your eyes for a minute or two and try to relax . Remember to whom u r speaking : the God of all Creation , He knows your heart and mind better than u do so always try to b totally honest . Address Him as Dear Heavenly Father or something similar . Say thank you for all , and I mean all , the things that u r grateful to Him for , this can take a while 😁 . If u want to ask something from Him then do so , through the name of Jesus Christ your Sinless High Priest in Heaven . Remember to pray for God's Kingdom on earth to come , remember to say : Your will b done and again offer your prayer through the name of Jesus Christ , Amen . That's basically it .
Sometimes I say little prayers in my head as I'm going about my daily business , just briefly and in the same format as I just explained . As u grow closer to God , through Christ , by reading the Bible , u will feel more comfortable and relaxed about it . Just b honest and respectful .
This helps a lot, thank you so much. So it's a little like meditation? You take your time and calm yourself. Good to know. When I think about trying to pray, i get a little nervous. It's a huge step for me.

Thank you for your participation. You made it easy for me.
You're a legend in you're own mind.

And you are no prophet. I made nothing easy for you. You just exposed yourself as having a religious spirit. Suffering cognitively, no doubt too. I will pray for you. You are no pastor, minister, or authority. This is clear.

You are too late
the living God already
gave me my reward this morning.

And it was beyond your faith.

When I pray, I ask first that my thoughts be aligned with His thoughts and my will aligned with His will. Matthew 5 the Lord’s Prayer Jesus taught “Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”. It’s a great model for prayer: Begin with praise, ask for His will to be completed in your life, present your needs, thank Him for His power His and protection over you, then end with praise. A great example is the Apostle Paul’s prayer for the Ephesians church in Ephesians chapter 3.

hope that gives you some direction. Blessings…

Also remember, He is God but also now your Father. He loves you and wants to have fellowship with you. His hearts desire is for you to grow in faith and closer to Him. Hebrews 6 says that He’s a rewarded of those who diligently seek Him. Just start and He’ll guide you.

I am not quite sure about my faith yet but I am trying. While reading about bible and Jesus I asked myself, how do I even pray? I am not sure if I have the right state of mind for that, or if there is a right state of mind. How do you do it? How do you feel before and during the pray? I really want to try.
Hello Erde,

That takes courage to reach out and ask such a good question.
The first place to go is this short message. At the end of it pause the video before it goes forward to the next one. Then I would rewind it and pray that prayer. Prayer means "ask."
What you are doing there is asking for the gift God already purchased.
You simply focus your attention on Jesus and speak to Him as you would another person in the room.
He will listen.

A disciple once asked Jesus the lord that question in the gospel and he answered

“And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭11:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He’s teaching about prayer through v 13 there and he taught about prayer many times many aspects of it in his teachings thinfs like this also

“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭11:24-26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

if as a believer you begin to learn the things Jesus taught believers in the gospel and pray and ask him to teach you as you seek , he will teach you himself .

I am not afraid, that I made a mistake in past. Even tho I am not baptized, I always tried do be a good person. It's a huge step, because I am afraid to what happens afterwards. Either it will change everything, or it will change nothing. And I don't know what would be better.

Thank you, for your good answer and explanation!

The Lord awoke me to bring me here just now, likely because you are considering what His Word says about everlasting life. Are you 100% sure you are going to Heaven?
Are you willing to consider what He says we must do to receive that gift?

My simple advice is to just talk to your Heavenly Father as your father who you know loves you and wants the best for you. Just talk to him, but not just when you need something. Take time every day to say thanks for giving you life, your blessings, and for making you suffer in order for you to grow.

The Lord woke me up and is here with me by means of His Spirit. So please take this post most seriously.
This is one more message that answers your new question.
>Am I good enough?<
There is a prayer to receive the gift at the end.

I will post two or 3 passages below that are really clear on the subject.

Works are everything that we do to attempt to get God's favor. That can include trying to keep the commandments, turning from sins, baptism, good works of treating others kindly. As good as they may be, those are our good works and unacceptable for salvation.
Grace is God's kindness that we cannot earn or deserve. Jesus expresses that when He suffered....all by Himself, for our sins. Faith should not be at all in our good deeds, but rather in the righteous One Who offered His life.

6And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.
Romans 11:6

8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2

Once you pray to receive that free gift Jesus died for because He lives you so much, then the next promises apply, but Not until then.

5Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us.
Titus 3

13These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
I John 3

I will make this very easy for you to do right now.
Pray Dear Jesus,
Thank you for loving me so much in spite of my sins.
I deserve death in Hell, but please save me right now.
I cannot pay for my sins. Only You did that.
I trust that You suffered so much and died for me , so I won't die and suffer in Hell. My faith is in You alone. That's why You are the Savior.
I know that your body was in the tomb 3 days and you arose back to life.
Please give me this everlasting life so I can be with you forever according to Your promises.
Amen

Did you just receive the gift of everlasting life?

In what ever you say to God be genuine.. Avoid scripted and repedative prayers.. Jesus in His sermon on the mount also said to not pray to be seen by others in an attempt to gain their approval, it is best to pray in secret..

When i pray i often feel a deep inner peace, to the point that i some times fall asleep half way through.. I often pray in bed as i am going to bed to end the day having a talk with God about anything and everything..

I am not one of those who try to pray at set times.. I don't ever want my prayers to become routine or a chore.. I pray when i feel moved to pray and that can be at any time and anywhere.. But again i will say be GENUINE in your prayer.. MEAN IT..
