Does man have a freewill ?

again, Philippians 1:29 is not speaking of believing unto salvation. The folks Paul wrote to at Philippi were already born again believers involved in fellowship in the gospel (Phil 1:5) ... they were filled with the fruits of righteousness (Phil 1:11).

Philippians 1:29 is speaking of the unceasing grace which God bestows upon the born again one so that he or she is enabled to continue on in faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as he or she faces the suffering for His sake.

You don't want to live by faith cuz that's "law talk" ? ... go ahead ... not for me.

Thats false, what else do we believe on Him for ? Vs 27-28

27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.

So you making a bold face false statement

interesting hades perhaps? but is it a place for us or for the devil and his kin? lets say it is hell who is it for? what does the bible say about that?

The title for those Verses are known as Gehenna.


In the Bible, Gehenna (a transliteration of the Hebrew "Ge Hinnom") refers to a valley outside Jerusalem historically used for child sacrifice and later as a garbage dump, which became a symbol of divine judgment and punishment for the wicked
 
6 Then Adonai said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?

7 If you do well, it will lift. But if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the doorway. Its desire is for you, but you must master it.”

Notice that God tells Cain in Verse 7 the desire to do well or not do well is 100% up to Cain.

All Cain had to do is go get a better offering and God will accept it but Cain has absolute FREE WILL and chooses not to but instead he chooses to kill his brother.

Absolute FREE WILL is demonstrated by God to Cain and even gives Cain the chance to do it again but Cain uses his FREE WILL to reject God.

Cain rejected God and God even gives Cain a chance to change the offering.

It doesn't get any more FREE WILL in the Bible than this and we see God giving Cain the chance to change and Cain chooses not to but to be worse and kill his brother.

So Cain in FREE WILL Rejects God and God gives Cain FREE WILL to change and Cain doesn't.

Lets say there are two paths one to the left one to the right I am told that there is a vast treasure that is far to great for any one man on the right on the left is a path that while treacherous and hard to navigate leads to enlightenment but on the right I can have this treasure but only if I kill the person guarding it

Now tell me this if I do not have free will what path will I take?

There's only two paths
One that leads to eternal life
And one that leads to eternal damnation.
You can answer your own question
When you arrive at the end
Of the path that you're already on.

Well I am a writer so yes I have quite the imagination but the point is this, if I do not have free will then it doesn't matter which path I take because I was always going to take it. Do you see my point here? If I do have free will then I can either act on my carnal instincts and go for the treasure or I can take the hard path to reach eternal life. we face this analogy every day
